-— I listened to an audio clip between Mark Levin and Ted Cruz and it appears the game plan is for Boehner to simply send individual funding bills for each dept, possibly one at a time, to Reid and then see what happens.

This method is only good if your opponent actually cares if people suffer or not!

They don’t!!-—

Of course they don’t. Zero doesn’t even care if Rome burns. But the rest of the rats want to save their own skins. And even the media won’t be able to cover for Dingy Harry when he rejects funding for the military.

Besides, what’s the alternative? Surrender?

Can’t wait to see it in a little while here....Wallace has a lot of anger and it usually comes out sideways! He is one angry dude trying to cover his inadequacies. Sarcastic, with that sarcastic smile.

Don’t forget, Obozo has had a number of stumbles lately. He is not the darling of DC and not exactly loved by the people. Weld Obamacare to him and the DNC with a very public fight. His mediots will not be able to save them if the American people turn their backs.

Rove flounders these days, like a little fat kid on the playground trying to get back into the game.

Wallace: You’re right Senator, people don’t want ObamaCare, but don’t want the government shut down.

Says a whole lot about what the LIV understand and DON'T understand about THEIR Government.

Republicans continue to have the same nagging problem they have had for decades -- they can't seem to find a way to voice their opposition.

Every time one gets on the news media, he/she is shot down by the opposition (media and/or Dems).

The Republicans do not know how to package an effective counter-message.

They will never be able to do that until they decide what they actually do stand for. In the last 2+ decades, they have 'stood' for very little and have gone along to get along. They like 'minority' status -- they don't have to work as hard, they still get a turn at the money troughs, and they get to meet their friends-from-across-the-aisle at the bar for drinks after a hard day of playing the opposition.

What if the polls are wrong and people really don’t care if the gummit shuts down? These polls are to scare politicians who follow rather than lead.

NO matter how the debt ceiling winds up Ted Cruz is going to end up as the leader of the party, IMHO when its all over. He's a hero, has guts and is unafraid to take on anyone/ anybody.

While I may not agree with his strategy 100% I will support him 1,000 % should he run for potus.

Cruz on FNS blames a govt. shutdown on Obama and Harry Reid. Answers Chris Wallace regarding other Republicans bashing Cruz. “I am not going to stoop to that level. There is another problem in Wash. DC. career politicians on both sides.” Points out how Obama and Reid are ignoring the will of the American people.

A distinction without a difference. Brit Hume understood what Kucinich was getting at and mentioned that private insurance companies were not the problem.

Blue Cross and others are not for profit.

Not for profit? It depends on how you define the term.

Prior to the Tax Reform Act of 1986, organizations administering Blue Cross Blue Shield were tax exempt under 501(c)(4) as social welfare plans. However, the Tax Reform Act of 1986 revoked that exemption because the plans sold commercial-type insurance. They became 501(m) organizations, subject to federal taxation but entitled to "special tax benefits" under IRC 833. In 1994, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association changed to allow its licensees to be for-profit corporations. Some plans are still considered not-for-profit at the state level.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder signs measures turning Blue Cross Blue Shield into mutual insurer

And there are plenty of other private insurance companies that are profit making in the conventional sense.

They’ve sold out for the lifestyle. I think it’s as simple as that.

Couldn't agree with you more and that's what local activism is all about and few do it better that you.

We had a speaker yesterday who was told that he had to sign on to a $400 million dollar deal for a miami-dade county football stadium that "it was a done deal."

He said no.!

He,a mayor of a small city in Dade, organized 20 other mayors of other cities in Dade and they killed the move to spend 400 million of the citizens money on a stadium. It can be done, buttttttt. Pick your battles.

If this is the so-called law of the land, what right does the President have to implement only those parts that do not displease his donors. And what about those congressional staffers now exempt from this? If this is the law of the land, what right does Obama have to only put into effect those parts that please him? I don’t see many Republicans reporting this truth.

Good points all. They need to be repeated over and over again.
