A spokesperson for the Beaumont Police Department has identified a robbery suspect who was shot and killed during an armed robbery in Beaumont's north end Tuesday evening. Sgt Rob Flores identifies the deceased as Duayne Smith, 25, of Port Arthur.
Police continue to look for two other suspects.
The robbery happened just after 9 p.m. at a game room located in the 3600 block of East Lucas Drive in north Beaumont.
The owner of the game room told officers that three men tried to rob him at gunpoint as he and his mother were leaving the business for the night. Sometime during the robbery attempt, the owner got his handgun and exchanged gunfire with the robbery suspects. After the exchange of gunfire, all three suspects fled on foot.
When officers arrived, they found Smith approximately 100 feet from the game room. He was dead and appeared to have been struck by a bullet in the exchange of gunfire. The game room owner was not injured during the robbery attempt.
The owner described one of the suspects who escaped as a black male with dark skin and short hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with below-knee length shorts with white stripes. He wore brown work-style boots. The clerk described the second suspect as a black male wearing all black with a light-colored shirt he used to cover his face. He wore white sneakers.

A certain sub-group seems to think it is, and that firearms in the hands of potential victims is an OSHA-violation.
...below-knee length shorts
That would make them “short shorts”, being that the waistband was 6” below his waistline.
And now those two worthless punk are wanted, under Texas law,for armed robbery *and* first degree murder. What is it Ron White once said?....”if you come to Texas and kill someone we will kill you back; that’s our policy”.
I know, I'm in a suburb of Houston about 50 miles from this place, but I think I've seen a guy that fits that description.. I should keep an eye out for him.. DUH :)
The store owner needs more time at the range practicing on multiple targets at various ditances and angles. Good job but we need to get that 1 of 3 up to 3 of 3.
If we could just pass stricter gun laws in Texas these poor boys would have been able to do their job without interference from the dastardly store owner/clerk who probably just wanted to be able to post on his facebook page that he shot a couple of (in the words of trayboyoz marteen) “no limit niggas”. Or not.
I guess that's one good thing in our favor - most of the bad guys are Leftists and have the audacity to think that the intended victim is powerless. It must come as a nasty surprise (ever so brief), for the Trayvon's of the world, that the intended victim might actually have the capacity and will to fight back.
That’s it! More gun laws! It is getting to the point that thieves can not operate safely due to their victims suddenly becoming victors by using a gun that they had not warned the perpetrator they had. It saddens me.
Where the heck is osha when you need them? Yet another vicious case of work place violence.
It must be stopped now. It’s for the children and it will reverse global warming.
I’m sure someone from the ipcc could correlate some connection from the heat generated by firing weapons and add that in to the mix on why we need to combat guns and climate change together. A twofer. Or BOGO. Ban one, get one.
I like it. You’re using the word “Trayvon” as a generic to describe wannabe, murdering, criminal, subhuman debris that’s worthy of only quick extermination. Henceforth, it should be a commonly used term in that context.
0bama doesn’t know it yet but Air Force One has been refitted with wind powered engines. It only requires around a 150 knot wind for take off and a lot higher wind to climb to cruise altitude wher it needs 600+ knot wind to achieve top speed.
Different variations are around, but there's a story about a New York attorney who relocated to Texas as part of the DA's team.
A case came up where a guy beat the daylights out of another dude, who had made some lewd remark to the guy's wife. The New Yorker was all for prosecuting the beater until another Texan told him that there was a law called "Justified Ass Whoopin" and no judge or jury would convict. Thus began the New Yorkers education.
if you come to Texas and kill someone we will kill you back; thats our policy.
And also if you commit a crime in Texas, no matter your skin tone, they post your mugshot (or a picture of you when you were still alive). Unlike Florida.

Any word on who the mothers were?
By the way, if Ubama had a son...
