People who voted to support this scam are in for a rude awakening. Here is why. I have found that my insurance seldom pays for much at all leaving me to pay the premium and the bill. Then they, the insurance company, apply what I had to pay to the a family deductible. So in a way we end up paying twice. These people that are convinced that insurance pays for it all are living in a dream world. Another important revelation will be the day they want to cancel their policy and the insurance company threatens them with the old, “ Its illegal for you to cancel your policy and we will be turning you into the IRS.”

In my state, it's a $10,000 deductible for a policy that costs about $100/month. And that's for a single woman in her 20's.

What he means is that for folks with incomes under the limits (142% of the poverty level, I think) they will receive upfront tax credits to offset their monthly insurance costs. So you could end up only $500 out of pocket per year for a plan that without the subsidies would cost $500 per month.

And as we all know, that is "free money" because it is coming from Obama's stash.

Is this a warning that cell phone bills are going to rise?

I read an article the other day that put the cost of owebamacare in honest terms.

It said a single, young ( 21 yr old nonsmoker) that had a modest 28k gross income would pay $200 a month for owebamacare.

But the kicker on that plan is it has a 40% deductible on everything covered!

What young person in their right mind would pay that much for something that would bankrupt them anyway if they ever had to use it?

Cheap huh! LOL Now just imagine yourself at another government agency! Example, the DMV, 300 people waiting to be helped by incompetent goons. Enjoy your day!

Why all the lies? Why is this allowed to be stated as truth?

He’s not technically wrong. With the rest of us paying for their subsidies it’s probably true.

Bingo—we’ve been paying for our college son’s health insurance. It has doubled in the past three years. I looked up what it would cost him for an inferior plan on the Kaiser Foundation healthcare calculator (linked from Yahoo article which said that people would be glad to be kicked off of their health plans and into Obamacare) and under Obamacare his premiums would be about the same, not at all cheaper. Now, I don’t know any people out there struggling in their twenties who can afford several hundred dollars a month for a healthcare plan with a high deductible. And the support that Obama is talking about giving these people is in the form of a tax credit. That credit somehow goes to the insurance company directly. The penalty for not complying will also be some type of tax penalty. Now, how on earth is all that going to work? I’ve been involved with some of the electronic health records “meaningful use” initiatives in Obamacare and this is the most ridiculous, poorly thought out plan ever that is a present to the software industry but a nightmare to the providers. (The VA, by the way, has a dynamite electronic medical record and their program is available for free! For some reason, however, not even the military will use it.) Follow the money. Soon we will all be begging for UK or Canadian healthcare, as our industry will have been sunk.

Government acquisition programs typically require some sort of cost analysis that looks at the full lifecycle. “Green” programs and benefit programs are particularly adept at hiding or ignoring these costs. If a premium goes down and the deductible goes way up the cost of insurance premium is cut but the cost of medical care may skyrocket.

When you have to pass the bill to see what is in the bill you are profoundly dishonest and can expect all the results to be dishonestly reported.

I have Pay As You Go. I pay $7 per month, and only because I need to top up with $20 every 90 days. Most times I make it the 90 days without spending all the money.

Hey, we got the same plan. And now that I found a new battery for my old flip phone, I don’t felt he need to switch!

I am what Obama considers wealthy. One reason is that MY cell phone costs me $7 a month ($20 every three months).

It is disturbing that someone who spends $100 a month talking on a phone has a claim on MY money to pay for their health insurance. Worse, they probably got that cell phone with my tax money as well, and probably I also pay for their twinkies.

I pay $50mo for unlimited service on my smartphone, but it’s replaced my computer and TV, plus it’s a business tool.

Gone semi-Galt and it’s my last remaining regular monthly bill.

My cell phone bill is $1200 a year. My insurance plan 15 years ago was $400 a month, $4800 a year. ObamaCare will drawf both of these.
