John Cornyn about an hour ago I intend to support the House bill that defunds Obamacare and will vote against a bill that funds it.

I was just reading that he had said he will vote FOR cloture. If he votes FOR cloture, that is the same as voting for funding obamacare. Unless he votes NAY on cloture, this is a trick.

If Cornyn doesn't vote to defund Obamacare, he will face a primary challenge in his next election. And he will most likely lose.

Isnt the strategy now to filibuster the house CR bill (with 41) so Reid cant remove those Defund provisions with 51 Senators later on?
So what is he talking about?

We are forcing these worthless people to come around. Cornyn doesn’t have a strong primary opponent right now but he would in an instant if he went against us on this (at least in the open).

This is most likely a spineless GOPe trick. My guess is that he will vote for the cloture that allows the rats to add bammycare spending back in, then vote against the bill. He thinks he can then go back to his constituents and say he tried.

Exactly. When I called his district office, about a half hour ago, they said Cornball had NOT yet made a *statement* on OPPOSING CLOTURE.
Saying they'll vote to DefundOCare is a TRICK! They MUST OPPOSE cloture!
