Does she continue to get her pension (our money) if she's living in Club Fed for the next 20 years?

That’s what I was wondering. We The Harassed get to continue to pay her fat federal pension.

though because of privacy rules it could say nothing more

Oh Right.

Her privacy is Sacred.

The privacy of "teabaggers" and "right wing extremists" as she and her ilk refer to anyone to the right of Joe Stalin is entirely negotiable, and usually ignored.

“And how much does she gets in pension?”

I’m a fed retiree myself (Defense Dept., FAA) and based on her grade and likely years of service, I would guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 85K-95K/yr. An educated guess.

Now that she is no longer an IRS employee, I wonder if all the tea party groups she screwed can sue her?

And she though that she was going to get immunity in exchange for any cooperation. Looks more like the length of her sentencing will be based on any cooperation she can provide in nailing anyone at the White House.

Great. This hag gets to live like a fat rat off the taxpayers dime for the rest of her days.

Sheeesh, I can understand why she retired. With that kind of pension, I’d retire too. Why endure all the aggravation?

Now, what we really need is to make sure she doesn’t get to enjoy retirement for what she did. What about calling her back to the witness stand?

I don’t know if she can be sued for something she did in the course of her job. I think she could go to jail for it, though...

Why not. Obama’s administration has thrown her under the bus and stated that there actions were taken without their approval (i.e. that they didn't order her to treat conservative groups differently). It seems to me she went beyond the scope of her employment and as such is liable for her actions on a civil basis. Her defense would be that she was probably following orders. Someone needs to make her admit it.

Lerner should be swapping recipes with Manning and Hasan at Leavenworth.

The article states “Her departure marks the first person to pay a significant price in the scandal”.

I’ve no idea how old she is, but she’s no spring chicken that’s for sure. So, what is the ‘significant price’? I’m sure she has a comfortable federal pension. I suggest some jail time.
