AP 'real reporters' spread disinformation to support gun ban agenda
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 23 September, 2013 | David Codrea

“Those behind a late-night attack ... used an assault-style weapon to spray the crowd with bullets, making it ‘a miracle’ no one was killed,” an Associated Press “report” by “Authorized Journalists” Carla K. Johnson and Herbert G. McCann breathlessly declared. “Ballistics evidence shows that those behind Thursday night's attack used a 7.62 mm rifle fed by a high-capacity magazine, police Superintendent Garry McCarthy told reporters.”

That’s as opposed to “personal defense capacity” magazines when “patrol rifles” are in the hands of government-sanctioned “Only Ones” like Chi-Town’s finest.

That “type of weapon,” McCarthy said, “belongs on a ‘battlefield, not on the street or a corner or a park...’"

If one didn't know better, one would think he and his media chroniclers were talking about a select fire-capable rifle, the kind that actually are found on battlefields. Or one would think that's what they want us to think.

Does anyone think Associated Press "reporters" don't know better, or don’t know that McCarthy’s well-publicized objective is a nationwide semi-auto and magazine ban? Does anyone think Johnson and McCann are unaware of just whose talking point they're all parroting?

We need an anti-MSM group that focuses on exposing the lies told by the MSM 24/7. Real personal stuff like who the reporter is that prepared the news article or broadcat, what his politival views are, what missteps he’s made in the past, etc...expose them for the liars they really are.

First, is there ever any mention as to where in Chicago this event happened and the crime rate associated with that particular area. I’m thinking this didn’t happen in the nicer part of the city.

Second, I clicked on the hyperlink “Only Ones” and read the article. In it the author stated the following:
Thing is, that doesn’t bear out, and the best benchmark to test that is by looking at the remarkable record of the c concealed carry experiment that has been successfully conducted in every state but two to varying degrees.

Well, having been in the law enforcement, military and security contracting field I can tell you firsthand the best benchmark is the competition shooting world and those that compete in it. Both professional and amateur.

I used to do it quite regularly and got pretty decent. I was also one of the few(or couple) of LEO’s that shot those competitions. Cops don’t like the IT programmer, plumber, salesman, etc, who can outshoot him and they usually don’t stick around. You see, he’s the expert. Not anyone else. I thought that exact thing the first time I showed up and then proceeded to eat a truckload of humble pie.

My point, law abiding, common sense, level headed citizens are just as, if not more, capable of handling weapons and defending themselves in public.

Get to the point!

Did the journalists misattribute the type of weapon or not?

Jeez. First sentence. Make your point.

I’m done reading, and I still don’t know the answer.

How would McCarthy know it was “fed by a high capacity magazine” when none of the eye witnesses will speak.

the cops are liars...

The weapon used in the attack apparently was an AK-47-style rifle, or one of the two TEC-9 machine pistols police found discarded half a block away.

He couldn’t,,,, even if they could/would speak. A true ballistics expert would not bet his/hers life on a ballistic report. They are speculative at best. Thank you for your input,,,, have a fine eve.

What does the phrase “select fire-capable rifle” mean?

...the MSM has become the equivalent of Pravda in the United States.

People who masquerade as "journalists" think they get to write history. They're going to be very, very disappointed when history tells the truth about them.

I wonder if they will be able to track some of those weapons back to Eric the Corrupt’s Fast and Furious. If I remember correctly those weapons were going to the cartel (Sinaloa?) that partners with Chicago government for organized crime in the city.
