Finally!

We have so needed an organization like this, that will help conservatives knock out the RINOs and not tear each other apart.

I hope John Cornyn is next on the list.

Thanks for the kudos ... I’ll try to get on FR often - but I have the sense I am a “lightweight” in the FR ring ... Gotta walk before I can run ... And I reckon I need to censor myself a bit too - I have a ferocious temper when it comes to liberal BS ... I am at my wits end with these, er-uhm - “people” ... Yeah, that’s what I really mean to call them (snicker).

What is Ayotte talking about now? I thought she was for funding Obamacare.

Perhaps Cruz-Palin or Palin-Cruz for 2016?

There is a sizable contingent of die hard Palin people. I admire her, but her time for national office (Pres or VP) is well in the future - certainly not the next cycle. I could get whole heartedly behind a Senate run.

Maybe Cruz was taking micro-second long power naps every 4th micro-second...some kind of crazy ninja power he learned from an east asian guru.

Well you seem to “ know the ropes” and believe me we are all lightweights in reality!!...
Most FReepers have had to come back and apologize a time or two.

I usually always avoid pressing send until I’ve cooled down...but there have been those times.

In any event we are all very upset with liberalism and the left....and fully understand that anger.

Welcome to FR!

“but I have the sense I am a “lightweight” in the FR ring ... Gotta walk before I can run ... And I reckon I need to censor myself a bit too “

We have all been there. Judging from your first 2 posts, you are off to a great start.

Ayotte’s true colors are showing. She was doing well until she said she wouldn’t stand with Cruz. She won’t shut down the government and “hurt Americans.”

lol. It was a sight to behold!

I hear that others have held the filibuster floor longer, but I doubt anyone has done do while staying on target (IIRC, others read recipes, etc, etc) with so little help to pick up the filibuster slack-— not in any way to diminish those Repubs who spoke...especially Mike Lee and necessarily silent House member Gohmert, who flew in to be present on the floor to support Cruz and stayed all night.

At around 8pm, Cruz read Green Eggs and Ham and a Bible story from Proverbs to his children.

Other than that refreshing interlude, I don’t know of another instance when he got off-point from his central message.

It was a sight to behold!

Is the filibuster still going on?

I have been at work all day and haven't seen any news about it.

Go, Ted Cruz!

Thank you ... What is the general sense around here about Governor Palin? I really like her style - she’s got guts - and more so than most of the current GOP leadership, in my opinion.

I want her to run for office again - but I am guessing that she is thinking more of protecting her family (Momma Grizzly”). While I respect her for that, at the same time I believe America needs people like her, and now more than ever. We are in seriously deep trouble as a nation if we do not get rid of these socialist bozos who seem hell-bent on wrecking all that is good and honorable. I do not understand why they hate this country so. Why do they not go live somewhere else, and leave us who love our freedoms to live in peace? How many different way must we say “no.”

Well, I have been “lurking” here for several years - but I am not much for writing on public sites. I know “all-seeing eye” tracks everything we do (NSA, etc.) and I don’t need that 4 AM “knock” at my door ... I am wondering whether I still live in the USA - everything has gotten so bizarre at every level.

A couple of years ago I joined a blogging site - actually, a “fan” site, for this incredible-beyond-belief singing prodigy - a young girl, Jackie Evancho, who has the voice of an angel ... Imagine a 53 year old guy being a “fan” of a singing kid! Yeah, I am a bit shocked myself. Anyway, that was my “baptism” in blogging ... So I decided “what the heck, go for it” - and here I am on FR!

Of course, uh - politics is bit off the mark from following a musical prodigy, but I am a man of rather diverse interests! ;)

It is interesting to think that if it had been a Democrat doing the same thing Ted Cruz just did, for whatever purpose they had (and probably it WOULD be nefarious then), the naysayers would be praising them today.

Rush had the same point today with a great example. The woman in Texas who filibustered to delay a vote on a pro-life bill this year. All she did was delay it, and it was clear that was all she could do. But she was lauded as an absolute hero by the left and the press. The hypocrisy is truly disgusting.

I don't take a stand for or against any lawful tactics used in fighting for a cause. If the cause is just as the anti-Obamacare one is, all such tactics should be used. And the tactics used by the woman in Texas were not the issue either, it was her sickeningly sinful cause.

I was leaning towards supporting Cruz for President next go-round, mainly because the process of elimination was slowly wiping everyone else out. But now I'm wholeheartedly in his camp. Not even so much because of what he did yesterday but because of how well he did it. He has a truly gifted intellect. And he has enough charisma and emotion in his speaking style to come off well to the average voter. He's not robotic like Romney and not a blubberer like Rubio. His mind works just as hard and just as well on political strategy as it does on his ideological positions. He not only has the right ideas but seems like he'd have the ability to win.

I supported Newt Gingrich last time. Cruz is definitely reminding me of Newt from his days in the House. Cruz is an intellectual heavyweight and a determined fighter. I can't imagine the size of the target that must be on his back right now from the media, the left, the RINOs. We need to all pray he and his career survive the next couple years. If he does, then he will develop even more strength as a primary candidate. In that sense it's good that he's inviting the fire early on so that he can start immunizing himself for the potential knock-down, drag-out, no-holds-barred death match with Hillary.
