Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, rose to speak on the Senate floor at 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday. He stood up in opposition to Obamacare, he said. And he said he would continue to speak until he could no longer stand. By Wednesday morning, Cruz and some of his colleagues were still standing.

Yes,and it shows on his countenance. He’s a scowling, wizened, gnarled, miserable little hellgnome.

I applaud his zeal, but it was/is a total waste of time AND our money.

I suspect Congress wasted far less money than usual during the time of his speech.

Any man who would stand up for us till he can’t stand or speak deserves to be president in the midst of all these traitors.

Welcome to FR.

Asbestos undies are a good thing.

You can look that reference up in "FReeper Lore."

Good luck.

Obamacare is law. It’s going to be law. And it will remain law until we control both House and Senate AND the Presidency and then maybe we can repeal it

That will never happen. I doubt we will see another Republican president in my lifetime. It's a numbers game now. We have missed every opportunity to stop this thing. In 2 years, the law will have decimated the health inusrance industry and our entire national health care industry (formerly private industry) will be dependent on the federal government. There will be no new upstarts in health insurance or independent care (except for private doctors that only the wealthy can afford).

In two years, as health insurance companies fail, more subsidies will be needed to keep them afloat. It will then be logical to just make the whole industry a single payer system.

It's hard to build a log cabin if there is no wood. And that's where we will be when you want to try and scrap Obamacare (someday when we have the House, Senate and Presidency). We will have to convince the American people to go without health insurance to create the demand that would be necessary for new health insurance company to start up. That will certainly not happen.

Think about Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, etc. Once there are dependents there is no going back.

he hasn’t wasted any of YOUR time or YOUR money.

He will accomplish separating the wheat from the chaff in the Republican Party.

“Polarize more people against conservatives”... for trying to stop people from paying double and triple for health insurance?

What is law?

I applaud his zeal, but it was/is a total waste of time AND our money. And it will accomplish ZERO in the end.

You are a disgrace to this forum. Ted Cruz STOOD up for 18 hours against tyranny. And you dare to stand against him!.

By disparaging his efforts, you are working for the enemy.

Rush just said:

“The strategy is not about winning elections in the short term”.

“The line (against Obamacare) has got to be drawn”

“People are losing faith in the country”.

“Ted Cruz is attempting to wake people up. He should be joined by members of his party”.

It is never a waste of time to stand on principles and fight for what you believe in.

Do you really believe that the rino senators will stop obamacare? They are in just as deep as the democrats. There is just too much money to be made and they really don’t give a damn for us peons. I have come to loath everyone of these back stabbing cowards and all who stand with them. I hope I never have to depend on the likes of you when the time comes to make a stand.

You probably still believe in the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy too!

Sure about that?

Convince me otherwise. I'm open. I REALLY want to be optimistic about our future and potential. I am as much of a strategist as any other. But there comes a time when you have to honestly assess the battle field, assets, opportunities and possibilities. We are down to one or two moves before we can just hope and pray that REAL conservatives are in power in the House, Senate and President sometime in the first two years of 2016.

I earnestly have been seeking something that proves me wrong. How do we get a republican president if more than 50% of the voters depend on central government for their current standard of living? How does anyone think we will be able to repeal such an entitlement in 3 to 4 years even if we do have all three branches of government. Hell, the Supreme Court would stop it at that point.

I will watch for your explanation.
