Kirk Douglas was a huge liberal, but he was a good actor.
“Spartacus”, “7 Days in May”, “The War Wagon”... some good flicks in there.
Burt Lancaster was another good actor. He was amazing in “From Here to Eternity” along with “Ol’ Blue Eyes” Sinatra, Ernest Borgnine, and Montgomery Clift.
Also “The Train” - another good flick.
RE “7 Days In May”: Check out the plot:
“US military leaders plot to overthrow the President because he supports a nuclear disarmament treaty and they fear a Soviet sneak attack. “
Hmmm....
We share the same tastes in movies.
IIRC, Burt Lancaster was another lefty, like Issur Danielovitch.
I would have liked to been on set to hear the political banter between John Wayne and Issur Danielovitch - must have been great stuff!
