TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) – A report out Wednesday from the federal government finds that health insurance prices on New Jersey’s exchange will be among the most expensive in the country for those without subsidies.

The report from the federal Department of Health and Human Services comes less than a week before the launch of the state health exchanges that are a key element of President Barack Obama’s health insurance overhaul. The idea is that the exchange offers otherwise uninsured people a way to get their own insurance, in many cases with a federal subsidies.

The federal analysis out Wednesday finds that for a 27-year-old with low-level catastrophic insurance, the monthly premium would be $129. For a family of four with a better plan, it would be $943.

Both figures are well above the national averages and among the most expensive in the country. But federal subsidies based on income would reduce prices for many people.

No surprise there; for decades we’ve been in the same vicous tailspin that NY and CA are in, in which fewer “makers” are constantly beset by a growing number of “takers”. There are simply too few American-American taxpayers left here, and like everything else pushed by the Dems this is just another means to transfer wealth from those “makers” to the usual “takers”.

well, the slackers and sloths don't care because they get everything free...the teachers and cops and other govt workers don't care because they have lush, flush contracts that pay for everything....

so that leaves me and you and other private sector middle class worker bees to carry the load again...

At this point, I wouldn’t blame anyone who goes underground. It’s how my family survived communism.

The highest risks for insurance companies are probably in states with the highest rates of television viewing and partying.

Where the hell do these people think we’re going to get the money? They take what they want from our paychecks. They confiscate our property a little every year. They tax gasoline and our cars. We are actually living in a socialist country without anyone daring to give it the name.
Except me.

It’s $12,700 for a married couple in California if both are age 49 and they make $75,000 between the two of them.

We are actually living in a socialist country

And without absolutely NONE of the upside.

At least the Euros get 6 weeks vacation time, massive parental leave, insane amounts of sick time, etc.

Sure seems we got the extremely raw end of this whole socialism thing.

But federal subsidies based on income would reduce prices for many people...this is the big kicker - 'rats are counting heavily on these government handouts (more taxpayer money being redistributed) to make insurance affordable for the masses - as long as the taxpayer money holds out - don't get too comfortable with it, America.....

Let's see if I have this right. Insurance of THE FOREIGNERCARE would be $1,000 mo. if your OF COLOR, but after the subsidy it is $150.00 month. And whities insurance is $1,000 mo. plus the subsidy. That about right.
