Bill Clinton: Chelsea could be better president than Hillary By Jonathan Easley - 09/25/13 06:59 PM ET
Former President Bill Clinton said Wednesday that he believes his daughter, 33-year old Chelsea Clinton, has the potential to one day be a better president than his wife, former New York senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In an interview set to run late Wednesday on CNN’s Piers Morgan Live, Clinton was asked by the host who he thought would make a better president – his wife Hillary, or his daughter Chelsea.
“Day after tomorrow, my wife because she’s had more experience,” he said. “Over the long run, Chelsea. She knows more than we do about everything.”
Clinton lauded his daughter’s intelligence, saying he feels like he’s “going to school every day when we have conversations.”
Hillary Clinton is far and away the frontrunner to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016, although she hasn’t said whether she’ll run. On Wednesday, Bill Clinton declined to answer that question.
Well, there’s something in that. Chelsea is, I think, slightly better than Hillary. And so far her body count is a good deal less, as far as I know.
It’s kind of like saying that Joe Biden would be a better President than Barack Obama. Because he would.
