Chattanooga VW workers to file federal charges against UAW, group says

Seven workers at Chattanooga's Volkswagen plant are filing federal charges against the United Auto Workers, saying the union misled and coerced them and other employees to forfeit their rights in its card-signing campaign to gain their support, a group said today

The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation said its attorneys are to file the charges today with the National Labor Relations Board's regional office in Atlanta.

Earlier this month, the UAW said a majority of the plant's workers had signed cards authorizing the union to represent them. It also said it was asking VW to recognize the union because of the cards rather than hold a secret-ballot election at the plant.

I could never understand why the Dems didn’t make “card check” the law of the land when they had control of Congress in 2009/10.

That was really the only hope they had long term to preserve the UAW as a force in the auto industry. Who’s gonna vote to pay union dues when the newbie Tier 2 UAWs are making less up north?

That is a great question.

They got zerocare and a faggot military. How did they avoid card-check?

For the workers at this Tennessee plant:

VW is in the process of deciding where to manufacture the new SUV. Tennessee or Mexico. Go ahead and join that union.

Because the environmental wing hates automobiles and now donates more money than private sector unions.

Also, Obamacare ensures a massive expansion of public sector unions that will funnel billions to the DNC for decades to come.

In the same way, the DNC is trying to replace black voters with illegal aliens to ensure their coalition is large enough to prevail in future elections.

Honda has a plant near Lincoln, Alabama. My nephew works there. The unions have tried to get in. From what I have heard from my nephew, they were told if a union is formed, Honda shuts down the plant. Want a job? Work. Want a union? Lose the job. Simple choice I would think. They are paid a wage far above any other working jobs around here.

I could never understand why the Dems didn’t make “card check” the law of the land...

This was anticipated, and there was a lot of opposition. They wanted to spend their political capital on Obamacare.

Another thought: The unions that Obama cares most about are government unions. The other unions are only a means of transmitting control to the workers.

A Marxist believes that the people should all be leveled... except for those who rule them for their own good. They have to be well taken care of. Look at the way the Soviets treated their nomenklatura and appartachiks. Better housing, separate and well-stocked food stores, better medical care.
