Republican infighting on full display on U.S. Senate floor

Republican infighting took a nasty turn in the U.S. Senate on Thursday with Senator Bob Corker accusing fellow conservative Ted Cruz of using the looming fiscal deadline for self-promotion and to endear himself further with Tea Party groups.

While the unusual floor fight between senators from the same party focused on one temporary spending bill, it highlighted the intra-party fights raging among Republicans over everything from national security surveillance to immigration reform and how deeply to cut into government social safety-net programs.

I see no debate among the parasites in the democrat party. Just lock step radical anti-constitutional tyranny.

Still doesn’t look good from the perspective of conservatives, indeed from the perspective of anyone who wants American liberties to survive. The statist leftists are doing backflips celebrating while watching this. I don’t see anything to praise about the fact that traditional conservatives cannot get themselves united as militant leftists can.

Manchin is the only breakaway.

We have an entire safari of RINOS in the senate.

No doubt, because he's up for re-election in an otherwise RED state.

We are. Bottom feeding trash like McCain and King are the ones who dropped to their knees to service the democrats.

Proven Federal Fact: The only way to balance the US Federal Spending and Income within the next two years is to execute this two step process:

1.) DEFUND Obamacare in 2013; and

2.) ABOLISH Obamacare, Democratcare, and Republicancare in the first month of 2014.

BTW US Congress men and women, failure to do BOTH of these timely steps will insure that your replacements will gladly do it for you.

They may be excited about it, but it can turn into their worst nightmare when the old go alongs get booted and more Ted Cruzs get elected. Could very well be the long awaited turn in American politics.

Cruz is the only guy in years who has had the brass ones to do something as bold as what he did on the floor of the Senate.

It wasn’t a historic event, except that it was the first time in years that a Republican actually stood up and took a stand nobody could mischaracterize as really the Democrat position anyway.

It was bold. It was crystal clear. It focused light on the issue. I set him (and the Republican party too, if it would only grasp and accept and think him for it) apart. It said, this is what I think. This is what the right path is. My path is different, and I will stick to my guns.

Refreshing.

So what do the Republitards do? (And I’m sorry folks, but I don’t know how else to address it. Some of you won’t like that term, but it expresses exactly what needs to be said here.) They fault Cruz on style, on posturing, on non conformance, on lack of cordiality.

Seriously? We’ve got the first chance at taking on the Democrats head on, and so the carping begins.

We have all the unity of 500 cats in a five by five foot room and six mice between them.

The Republican party is the party that couldn’t shoot straight. It should be played by Don Knotts. It’s theme song should be ‘the Old Gray Mare Ain’t What She Used to Be’. It’s symbol should be the pink submarine. It’s mascot should be a skunk. It’s embarrassing when folks ask me what party I’m in. They don’t even bother to debate it with you. They just laugh. And deep inside, you know they should be laughing.

We’ve run Dole, Bush, Bush, McCAin, and Romney. Hell, I’m laughing, when I’m not crying.

Cruz was brilliant. He was so brilliant the party knows not what to do. He has garnered the party tons of support, and the leadership is to fricken stupid to know what to do with it.

“Hey Lou, what do you do with all this support?” “Well Bill, we’ve lost the policy on that. Perhaps we’ll write a new one if we get around to it.”

They won’t. Count on it.

Could very well be the long awaited turn in American politics.

At the very least, the light was shone upon many and their true colors revealed. The McCains, Cornyns, Grahams either protested too loudly or hid in the corner making nary a peep. Either way, they were exposed to be what they are: members of the Government Party. The democrats never kept their membership in that party secret, but these so-called Republicans did and their true loyalty has been uncovered.

Primary the lot of them! If they vote for cloture to end debate, they are voting to FUND OBAMACARE. They can twist themselves into pretzels trying to tell their constituents lies about why that isn't so, but they will dig their political graves deeper in trying.

The Tea Party is watching that vote and will not forget.

I’ve had people ask if I’m republican or democrat...I look ‘em straight in the eyes and say, “I’m CONSERVATIVE!!!!!”
