That’s weird, McCain credits Palin with the total turnaround of his campaign and jump in the polls.

Because of the complete betrayal of their boss & candidate, neither Schmidt or Nicole Wallace will EVER be hired by a Republican campaign again.

They have chosen to make their livings from the enemy. Both consulted on "Game Change" and both are "contributors" on MSNBC where they trash Republicans everyday.

Put another way, I would be extremely suspect of any "Republican" who hired either of those two scumbags.

The collectivist Pubbies and the collectivist Dems are not going to allow an anti-collectivist run.

These people make me angry, but really I should pity and pray for them because Steve is not Sarah`s sister in Christ

Steve is NOT right with God

Actually, in hindsight it was a mistake for Sarah Palin to be on the ticket in 2008. If she had been allowed to remain Alaska governor, she would have easily won a second term, and had built up an outstanding record on fiscal and energy policy, as well as government reform. And if she had spent a lot of time preparing herself for national issues (which she had not done), she would have walked away with the GOP nomination in 2012 and kicked Obama's ass in the election. She was the conservative Godsend we were hoping for.

Instead, she got thrust upon the national scene before she was entirely ready, and then the scumbag liberals exploited Alaska's ethics laws which require a public official to pay for their own legal defense bills, essentially forcing her from office (will also acknowledge that the large sums of money being thrown at her in conjunction with this helped make the decision to resign; doubt she would have resigned just on the money alone). Like Dan Quayle, unless she seeks lower political office to rehabilitate herself politically, she will never be a credible presidential candidate.

What a tragic loss for our nation.

I was in agreement up to this point in your post. I can't get past the impression now that you are salting the thread.

What does "salting the thread" mean? Presuming that's a negative connotation, let me expound. If you're referring to Sarah Palin has been so thoroughly trashed by the media (and assisted by RINOS on our side) that it will be near impossible for anyone low information voter to be persuaded to support her at this point. However, if she were to become a U.S. Senator, she could build up a record of public service that could overcome the smearing.

If you're referring to Dan Quayle, Quayle was a very good U.S. Senator who, like Palin, was tapped on the shoulder too early. He made unfortunate gaffes that allowed him to be depicted as a dunce. From the V.P. chair, not a lot that can be done to overcome that. After leaving office, he could have easily become governor of Indiana or Arizona, but chose not to do that. When he ran for the nomination in 1996, he was considered a joke candidate.

Both need to re-build their political reputations to overcome (false) media narratives about them. Where am I wrong?

Totally right on!

“Ever notice how the only time Republican operatives and official can play “guts ball” is when attacking the democrats’ enemies?”

I totally disagree.

Palin may, or may not, run in 2016.

But she was not the problem. The GOP has (badly) handled both of the recent elections.

It seems to be she is tending toward staying with her kids in 2014.

However I think we might be seeing much more of Sarah Palin in 2016, and beyond.

Ugh! Reagan might regret his 11th commandment if he had lived to see McCain.
