Obamacare: Frustration over health insurance premiums rises among employers
NJ.Com ^ | 9/27/2013 | By Ted Sherman/The Star-Ledger

Posted on 09/27/2013 6:38:41 AM PDT by tobyhill

Every year, Jeffrey Scheininger, president of Flexline/U.S. Brass & Copper Corp., sees the health insurance premiums of his small manufacturing company in Linden go up.

And he does not think things are going to get much better once the landmark Affordable Care Act finally kicks in.

"It's monumentally frustrating," said Scheininger, former chairman of the state Chamber of Commerce, who supported health care overhaul, but is less than thrilled with how it turned out.

"The difference between the hope they held out versus what they delivered is phenomenal," he said.

The act affects different businesses in different ways, primarily based on the size of a company. It requires large companies — those that employ at least 50 people full time, more than 30 hours per week — to offer health insurance coverage for those full-time employees and their dependents, or pay a penalty.

Democrats. It's how they operate. Hasn't he figured this out yet?

I'm sure it will all work out just fine.

Especially if you are a "good comrade" and not a "tea party terrorist."

I’m a small company <50 and have gone to employee leasing. It actually cut my healthcare costs but the overall is about even.

Now is the time for an “I told you so” moment from the Republicans.

How amazingly gullible.

Scheininger . . . supported health care overhaul, but is less than thrilled with how it turned out.

Scheininger sounds like a guy smart enough to run a once successful business enterprise, but not smart enough to check out the long track record of the people who designed ObaMaoCare.

I have a hard time figuring out how people can be so smart and so dumb at the same time.

Funny, isn’t it. The same lie - you can have it all for free with no consequences.

Kinda like “you will surely not die...”.

How could this be frustrating?

ObamaCare is saving the average family $2500 a year.

ObamaCare is helping to balance the federal budget.

Under ObamaCare, those of us who like our current insurance can keep it, so no one loses.

ObamaqCare is reducing unemployment, raising the labor supply, and improving the functioning of labor markets, reducing absenteeism, disability and mortality - in short ObamaCare is encouraging and enabling work.

Obama made all those promises, and he is the smartest man in the history of the world, so they must be true. What’s not to like.

MAKE DC LISTEN: TELL YOUR SENATORS TO OPPOSE CLOTURE ON H.J. RES 59
We must oppose cloture on H. J. Res. 59, so that Harry Reid and Senate Democrats cannot sneak in funding for Obamacare. We need you to call your Senators right now: tell them to oppose cloture on H.J. Res 59 and remind them that a vote for cloture IS a for funding Obamacare.

In other words, he was expecting single payer. He just wanted to dump his employee healthcare expenses onto the public treasury, gratis, free and clear. Being naïve enough to think that the OTHER guy’s taxes will be raised to pay for it.

Business people who think like that are the reason Capitalism is going down in this country.

Well actually that is a task but we’re small so you’d have to have other duties.

If you can do application security code reviews, penetration tests (the kind with sql injection & Cookie manipulation)we can talk.
