Israel and Others in Mideast View Overtures of U.S. and Iran With Suspicion
NY Times ^ | Sept 29, 2013 | Jodi Rudoren

For Israel and Persian Gulf states like Saudi Arabia, President Obama’s telephone call with President Hassan Rouhani of Iran on Friday was the geopolitical equivalent of discovering your best friend flirting with your main rival.

Though few nations have a greater interest in Mr. Obama’s promise to stop Iran from developing a nuclear bomb, his overtures to Mr. Rouhani were greeted with alarm here and in other Middle East capitals allied with the United States. They worry about Iran’s sincerity, and fear that Mr. Obama’s desire for a diplomatic deal will only buy Iran time to continue a march toward building a nuclear weapon.

It's not with a "RIVAL" -- Iran is a mortal enemy of Israel and all civilized nations, including the US.

Everyone, except Obama can figure out what's going on -- which makes you wonder, is he that naïve or maybe he isn't and you know what that means...

Obama is a supporter of the Mullahs so this should not be a surprise. He made sure to never encourage their rebellions like he has in the other Muslim countries.

It’s a surprisingly good article, considering that it appeared in the NYT. I recommend reading it — they do include some realistic opinions.

Israel understand Iran:

“The most critical problem with Iran is its aim of achieving nuclear weapons, but the problem with Iran is wider,” added Mr. Steinitz, who led Israel’s delegation in a boycott of Mr. Rouhani’s speech last week at the United Nations. “Iran is not a peace-seeking country or regime — on the contrary. Iran is maybe the most aggressive country in the world, and it’s not just against Israel.”

Arabs Join Israel in Fretting Over Iran Thaw. Saudis and Gulf States Worried About Tehran Deal

http://forward.com/articles/184698/arabs-join-israel-in-fretting-over-iran-thaw/

More details:

Thaw between Washington and Tehran brings Israel and Gulf states closer

Much like Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Arab foreign ministers are voicing concern over an Iranian ‘honey trap’ that could ensnare the U.S.

Everyone can see reality — as I said, even Obama can’t be so naïve, as not to see it, and if he does see it and still proceeds to continue to befriend Iran, at the expense of Israel and other countries, even other Arab countries, well, then it’s deliberate, there is no other alternative explanation.

Israel has arrested an Iranian-born man, accusing him of spying for Tehran.

He was carrying photos of various sites, including the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, the Israeli government said Sunday.

His Excellency is interested in only one thing now...getting his face chizzled onto Rushmore. Afterall, he rated himself recently the 4th best president ever. His ambition knows no bounds and when he blunders from mistake to mistake, he picks up his lance and looks for another windmill...internationally now it is Iran. He has destroyed any prospect of relations with Russia, Lybia, Egypt, Isreal, England, amongst others. Remember how he was going to get the Olympic Games in the US and did not even make the final cut...of course not because the Media did not point that out as a PR disaster it was.

Domestically he has now piled onto O care. He is not going to back off that....he cannot because there are few other domestic issues beyond gun control (mostly lost) and amnesty for illegals (hopefully a dead issue) he can address without the money to throw at them. So, ole FUBARack will keep pushing that white whale and the US economy over the cliff.

It is terrible for the US to now have a leader from behind who has such few options to build upon. Judged by history he will be viewed as the person who ruined the US. For that he should get a statue in every latrine in the country so everyone can see exactly what he is and was.

In the meantime...

Al-Qaeda returns. The new face of terror

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3072584/posts

Yet the inconvenient truth is that, in the past 18 months, despite the relentless pummelling it has received and the defeats it has suffered, al-Qaeda and its jihadist allies have staged an extraordinary comeback. The terrorist network now holds sway over more territory and is recruiting more fighters than at any time in its 25-year history (see article). Mr Obama must reconsider.

This is what I expected bur ir isn't a hard call to make. obama has shown his preference for iran in many ways large and small, not the least of which was stopping Israel from doing what MUST be done which I expect to happen in the very near future with the help of the saudis.

This is a Threat Matrix list documenting threats within and without. Anyone wanting on or off please advise.

There is a saying that goes something like: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”... We have common interests with the Saudis — they don’t want a nuclear Iran either.

Mr Steinitz gets it... And yeah, it's odd to see something this good in the New York Times - they're up to something ...

As well they should, it is the joining of a liberal fascist admnistration with an Islamofascist Iranian caliphate. They share the same visions on methods of establishing totalitarian states. This means nothing good for the rest of the world in general.

Iran is using the NORK model and has been doing so for years. The whole idea here is to talk with the West until the warheads are ready. It's that simple and any idiot with an IQ of 4 can see it.

It never made sense that Iran claimed they wanted Nuclear power for peacefull purposes only while threatening to wipe Israel off the map.

The truth is known about the Iranian's intentions. The world knows what they're doing but it has the spine of a worm so nothing will be done to stop them.

Obama is either Neville Chamberlain II about to lose the world to Iran and Russia or he's a genius luring them into a trap.

Given his record so far, he's a fool's fool.

Only Netanyahu is speaking the truth and out loud.

Obama is letting him do this in order to isolate Israel, which is part of his overall plan with Zbig Brzezinski.

Either way, Israel looks bad. If she remains silent she is in deep sh*t. If she attacks, she is in deep sh*t. Either way, Obama looks like he deserved that Nobel prize for Peace.
