Bummer. It’s hard to change the presets on my radio because the LCD is broke and I kind of liked that station.

Divide the people by race, language, income . . . you name it.
Keep us at each others throats.
Destroy the civil society.
When those goals are achieved, only government by force can rule.

I guess all the wealthy bureaucrats and lobbyists need low cost lawn care and the wetbacks need something to listen to.

Metro has registered SomosLaCapital.com for the stations and has already updated its webstreams to use the new moniker. The new website describes the new format as La Capital features a Spanish Hits Music format targeting Hispanics 24-50 years old, local talk shows, music shows, and many other issue shows that address the culture in Washington, DC.Apparently, they are tired of the advertising revenue that conservative talk radio generates and want to experience poverty.

Perhaps not so good an idea as it seems to them . . . .
Last year, one of our local newstalk stations switched to an all-Spanish format. They dumped Rush, Beck, Rusty Humphries, and a couple of locals.
That lasted just about six months. They are back in news/talk format with Beck and Dave Ramsey, and I don't know who else because I haven't tuned in since the switch.

This is Laura Ingraham’s affiliate in DC.
Given Sean Hannity’s imminent departure from Cumulus (including WMAL), why do I suspect that Clear Channel will soon be starting a talk station in the DC market? Either they could use one of their existing stations or buy one of Red Zebra’s stations, 570 and 980, which also used to be talk stations. (In fact, 570 is where WTNT started.)

You could start a good station with Laura (or Beck), Sean, Steve Deace, and some others. Mega Radio is a Spanish radio company, but they’re going to regret this.
