Halperin: Obama's Shutdown Strategy Banks On MSM Blaming Republicans
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 09/30/2013 4:59:41 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

The list of things on which Barack Obama has been wrong goes on to the crack of doom. But there's one thing on which the President is surely right. In calculating his strategy for dealing with the shutdown, the prez can count on the MSM to blame Republicans.

Mark Halperin bared the president's calculus on today's Morning Joe, saying the Obama admin has little incentive to negotiate because it believes a "sympathetic" press will blame Republicans, accusing them of being "obstructionist."

He’s right - which is one reason Repubs everywhere, all the time have to point out media bias.

“You’re badgering me - not asking questions - because you’re on 0bama’s side. you would rather have 0bama win than do your job as a journalist. You suck.”

Halperin: Obama's Shutdown Strategy Banks On MSM Blaming Republicans

Really? You figured that out all by yourself? His whole worthless, unaccomplished political life has required the MSM propagandists to carry his piss bucket. Idiot.

I saw an editorial posted here last week that claimed that Obama will cave because the MSM will blame him.

“Which could very well backfire.”

As near as I can tell, the organizer in chief is right and the msm is following the organizer in chiefs orders to blame Republicans. I don’t think I’ve seen an article that would disagree.

Everyone is a prisoner of their perception of 1995 -which is that the GOP got ALL of the blame and it was a disaster for them. What idiots....let’s review:

1 In 1995: The GOP had both houses of Congress.
2 There was a much smaller Rush Limbaugh Show.
3 There was no Mark Levin Show.
4 There was no Sirius XM Patriot Network, nor most of the now big talk shows.
5 There was no conservative internet to speak of.
6 Drudge was much smaller than today.
7 The Jurassic Media was still riding high.
8 People actually believed when the Govt shut down, the govt shut down, and we know now everyone always gets their back pay.
9 There was no tea party.
10 The GOP speaker had a name that sounded a lot like Grinch.

These libs are fighting the last war. This never works. MAY MY DAY.

The OBAMA administration is litterally wed , or related to the press and media .
Look at the INCESTUOUS relationship that the administration has had with the media and the press.
We've been had ! There is no such thing as open and free press ; nor is there investigative journalism .
The administration owns the media! ..and what they haven't owned,.. they've co-opted or extorted into cooperation .
Joseph Goebbles (minister of propaganda) would be envious of this kind of information control !!

His whole rise to the office, and re-election despite one of the worst performances of any modern president is ALL due to the media’s continued support and lack of critical analysis.

Thank you, Newsbusters! Cuz, if it’s said on PMSNBC, does anyone, other than the three viewers, ever hear it?

That’s a factor too....but things have looked more encouraging on that score in the last 48 hours than they did before. Of course they may revert back....but there is at least some evidence (not proof) of some smidgeon of a backbone being formed.

And those other differences still exist.

Sure, Oblamer can change any part of obamacare he wants, grant waivers, stall employer mandates for a year, etc., but Harry Reid said it is the law of the land and must be funded. Only The Won can break the law.

The MSM does not need "orders" to blame Republicans, it's done by instinct.

Modern Journalism schools are designed to weed out any "unbellyfeeelers".

You forgot to mention that GOP constituents trusted their representatives not to stab them in the back in 1995.
