A Test of Your Power and Influence

RedState Readers, there was a time when we could ask you to open your wallets for solid candidates and within hours goals would be met. We did that recently with Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia and you showed just how quickly you could raise money.

But people still think you guys are not as engaged as you once were. So I have a challenge for you this morning — show the world conservatives are not disengaged.

But more importantly, show the world you’ll do what it takes to fund reinforcements for Ted Cruz in the United States Senate.

There are two candidate who need your help. Today is the last day of the fundraising quarter. And we need to show Washington that these are the men we want going to help stand with Ted Cruz.

Will you open your wallet for them today? They need money today.

First is Ken Buck in Colorado. Ken has a strong chance to beat Mark Udall. But he needs money. Ken is the RedState candidate in Colorado and RedState readers need to make their influence known. This is about you guys showing Washington you are in this fight — even against the Republican establishment. Ken will be with you.

DONATE TO KEN BUCK HERE.

The other candidate is rapidly becoming one of my favorite candidates of the cycle. His name is Greg Brannon. He had perhaps the most spectacular performance at this year’s RedState Gathering.

Doctor Brannon would be on the floor standing with Ted Cruz. He is an articulate, genuinely conservative candidate. Dr. Greg Brannon needs a financial commitment from you today.

DONATE TO GREG BRANNON HERE.

Friends, RedState is a central hub for the conservative grassroots in America. But we need to show we mean business. We need to show we are serious.

The best way to show our seriousness is to fund these candidates.

Today is the last day of the fundraising cycle. Give today so they can tabulate your contribution on their quarterly FEC report.

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: elections
I just gave these two money.

We give directly to candidates who have the same limited-government as we do.
Giving directly cuts out the “middle men” in these campaign organizations, who tend to syphon donations to their own pockets or those of their cronies in over-head expenses. Just sayin’......

should read: “that have the same limited-government philosophy as we do.”

Two things about RedState endorsing Brannon:

1 - I had to go to a search engine to find out where he is a candidate (NC, BTW).

2 - Brannon’s website quotes the original Constitutional language about the selection process and does not reflect the 17th Amendment changes yet he does not list this as one of his Issues. Perhaps he could better benefit from me sending him a copy Levin’s book rather than $$$$.

I’m sorry, but Ken Buck is a fool. He was a shoe-in to beat Bennett a year ago and managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory because he thought he was smarter than reporters. He’s not. Not by a long shot. They repeatedly set trap questions for him and every time he bit, taking the bait along with the hook, line and sinker. He just could NOT keep his mouth shut. All he had to do was emulate Scott Brown’s campaign in Massachusetts three years ago and just fricking STAY ON MESSAGE! No matter what question he was asked all he had to do was provide one of five stock answers that stayed on message, but ‘ol Ken Buck couldn’t manage that.

I gave that dumbass some really big bucks then, but will never give him another cent. There just HAS to be better candidates in Colorado than that guy. And much smarter ones too.

Yet, Buck lost by less than one point in a year when the republican party in the state completely collapsed. And if Cornyn had funded him early instead of being in a snit because he beat the NRSC’s preferred candidaten (while meanwhile funding Lisa Murkowski instead of the republican nominee), it might have been just enough to push him over the top.

I don’t live in CO and don’t know the lay of the land but I certainly hope the people nominate, if not Buck, another conservative!
