No one is quite sure yet what happened last night at the Jacksonville airport last night, but two arrests have been made, and at least one “destructive device” has been found. Security shut down the airport for several hours and evacuated it while dealing with two suspicious packages, one of which may have been the real thing:

There was a picture of one of them being tackled by the police - he looked Bosnian or Albanian, to me. There’s a large number of them in Jacksonville.
In that case, if there was indeed an explosive device, it may not have been intended for terrorism but instead for crime, since the “Bosnian Mafia” is very active among that group.
That said, who knows what happened? It was a very strange incident, since apparently one of the men told the TSA person that he wouldn’t open his bag for inspection because it had a bomb in it! Sort of an odd way to go about either a terrorist attack or a criminal act.

“false report about planting a bomb”...sounds like somekind of mental case. Early reports said a deplaning passenger heard some guy who was later arrested shout out that he had a bomb. Probably not a mussie as they just set them off and take others with them. The security head at the airport said this AM on the news the second arrest was not related to the first arrest but happened at the same time.
Glad I was not scheduled to fly out last night or this AM as the schedules at JIA are pandemonium right now.

I was reading the comments at firstcoastnews.com and 7 out of 26 comments were about “The Voice” being interrupted with news breaks about the bomb. What is the The Voice? Is it about hearing God’s still small voice?

Yeah but thats not stopping the media from reporting on it though. lol. I live in Jax and already the local news has changed so many times I cant keep up with it.............think I’ll wait a couple of weeks until the REAL facts are known.
