There are different fines for different things. I think the $95 is for the first year of no insurance. However, I just read an analysis by another person who said that even if you had an insurance policy, if it didn’t meet the O-care mandates, you could still face a $2k fine.

It appears that we STILL don’t know what’s in this legislation, even away from the fog of the original debate.

“...we STILL don’t know what’s in this legislation...”

That’s why I have said that anyone who EVER IMAGINED that this mess was ever intended or expected to work in practice was living in a dream world, naive beyond belief. How could anyone think that responsible legislators who were trying to solve a problem would ever sign a 2000 page mess while having absolutely no idea what it contained. They never read it and even if they had tried they could not have possibly deciphered it. Without seeing it I can guarantee that there are thousands upon thousands of references to paragraph C, line 3, subsection, clause, Santa Clause, iced bear claws etc. to the point that there IS NO CERTAIN MEANING other than what a bureaucrat may say it all means.
