President Barack Obama summoned congressional leaders to the White House on the second day of a partial government shutdown that has furloughed hundreds of thousands of workers and closed military cemeteries as far away as France. Republican leaders welcomed the Wednesday afternoon meeting but questioned whether Democrats were ready to deal.

So is this gonna help the GOP win more seats in the 2014 election? That is what I am hoping, that it energizes at least some of them to get out the vote and get the GOP more seats in the 2014 elections. Because I am unsure how popular this is gonna make them with independents and fence sitters.

Does anyone have a valid (reliable source) link to what the House has been proposing in their bills that they have sent to Congress, to fund government?
I put some figures into the calculator they have. The more you make, the higher the premiums. Some low income ranges would get a 75% subsidy on a 3K premium. That 3K premium is for the “bronze” plan.
