Less Than 1% of Visitors to Connecticut Healthcare Exchange Signed Up, Will Media Care?
newsbusters ^ | 10/2/2013 | By Noel Sheppard

As the Obama-loving media echo White House talking points that opening day "glitches" at online healthcare exchanges crashed Tuesday due to a flood of interested Americans clamoring for insurance, they might consider what happened in Connecticut.

According to Congressman Jim Himes (D-Conn.), out of the 28,000 visitors to his state's exchange Tuesday, only 167 actually signed up

For those that can do math, that means 0.6 percent of visitors actually applied for insurance.

Any data from other states? Looks like people just aren’t interested in ‘free’ insurance.

Daniel Greenfield called the media “Obama’s Praetorian Guard”. That’s the best description. They think they are the kingmakers.

Will Media care?

The "news" media have only been reporting "good" news for the Zero King and "bad" news for Repubs since Zero started his run for President. They're not about to quit now.

Any bad news on ZeroCare will not reach the LIV.

I’ll bet that they solve the login problems, but still have massive bugs in the system that screw things up royally.

It was thrown together in too short a time. The programmers did not have time to do a good job and to test. Also, they probably didn’t have time to program controls and security.

Just for fun, I’ve tried off and on since yesterday to get to the screen for Pennsylvania. Just keeps telling me to wait. I don’t know if it’s the same for other states. If it is, I don’t know how anyone could view options, let alone sign up.

The exchanges opened yesterday, they were overwhelmed by the curious to the point of being a Denial of Service attack on them. Some of it deliberate.

Today the news is most of those people did not buy insurance. Maybe they are going to wait for the remaining 2 months and 30 days?

I ask myself, what is wrong with people anymore.

” only 167 actually signed up”

And you can be pretty sure 166 of them were...

a) very ill with pre-existing conditions needing expensive care.

b) claiming such a low income that the coverage would be nearly free.

c) one of them signed up by mistake.

Best kept secret of Obamacare —

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!

This single fact (aside from the fact there are no Doctors to see) is why it will fail.

Obamabots don't pay for things; they are recipients of the largess of the Federal Government, not participants.

For three years, everyone has been talking like it was free and you would only get fined if you didn't get insurance. They talk about “signing up” for Obamacare. Wrong term. Better “apply”, “fill out application” and - send in a check. Everyone thought it was free health care - whoops!

Only 167 can sign their names properly. Remember, this is Connecticut.

I read the “terms and conditions” of the website.

It records IP Addresses, uses persistent cookies, and every other tracking method possible on the internet. Very bad news.

It also requires an email address. So I guess people who don’t have one can’t get ObamaCare.

You have to sign up first...then they show you your options. I don’t want to give them all that info through an internet unsecured connection...to find out they don’t have what I need.

FWIW, I went to site 3 or 4 separate times to select plan information and print out documents so I can compare plans and options. It would be a couple of weeks or more before I selected something -I have until end of year at least.

I never got to the signup page. The first screen asked for my state. I selected it. Then I was taken to a page that told me to wait.

———“Obama’s Praetorian Guard”-——

Think Caligula........ Little Boot, Caeser, tyrant

The praetorians visited him in his home and slew him

They scoured around and found Claudius and robed him in purple. He, the stammering clown, the scholar, turned out to be one of the best ever.

Obama should be fearing such an event

You just reminded me. I have the whole series, I Claudius, on tape. Should drag it out and play it again.

Politics were brutal back then.
