An “exasperated” President Obama on Wednesday met with congressional leaders at the White House to discuss the budget standoff that has shut down parts of the federal government for the first time in 17 years, making it clear to them that he will not bargain with Obamacare.
The top four leaders of both parties from both houses gathered for an hour and a half seesion in the Oval Office without any staff. After the meeting, Speaker John Boehner said the president “reiterated tonight he will not negotiate.”
According to a White House official, the president planned to use the meeting to urge the House leaders to pass a “clean” continuing resolution — without what Obama has called “ideological demands” such as riders aimed at undermining his signature health-care law — so that the government can reopen.
Obama also planned to “call on Congress to act to raise the debt ceiling to pay the bills we have already incurred and avoid devastating consequences on our economy,” the official said.

Obama is a drinker. I don’t know what he drinks but he is a drinker. I remember his first physical as president it was recommended that he cut back.
Perhaps it is time to negotiate with a bottle or two. His father was a notorious drinker and Hussian has that black and white thinking that drinkers are famous for.

obama and his ilk know that this is their last chance. If the republicans fold, the dems win forever and the republicans win. If they fold all they’ll be able to say is “We told you so” after the SHTF.
It looks bad to state he will not talk so he will have a meeting to state he will not talk and then after tell his media pals he tried.

LOL, we are seeing a child having a tantrum who has never ran anything in his life and yet there are quite a few out there who are very uneducated about this fairy who they support.

PR purposes. Not that it’ll do him any good. I mean, Boehner’s gonna fold for sure once the deadline for the debt ceiling approaches. I don’t see any sign that he has the guts to deal with the pressure he will face as that deadline looms.
Watching a high stakes Poker game.
Dingyharry strikes me as a better than fair Poker player. His trouble is nobama is calling his moves. He’s handling this so well he’s stuck both feet in his mouth on the cancer treatment for kids statement and “sticking to it” re-statement.
Nobama is no Poker player period, he thinks he’s playing Ol Maids. That fast move the threaten and then fenceout the WW2 Vets was big time fauxpas and their internal polling is telling them this is not going their way.
Boehner just looks like the kind of boozing, smoking, sad-sack that ends up walking away the winner on an all-nighter. Being underestimated while holding a Full House is a great spot to be in.
