There would be NO talk of debt limits, shutdowns and CRs if Obama did just one thing.

Submit a balanced budget!

Republicans don’t want a balanced budget. Only conservatives do.

YES, and to have Harry Reid making comments like “What right do they have determining what parts of the Government get funded or not” is about as asinine as I have ever heard. Last I checked all 12 or 13 appropriations bills start in the GOP led House. Seems to me the GOP Led House is the ones to start the process of determining which parts of Government get funded or not. Harry is just doing the dirty work of his KING who honestly believes he is an imperial dick-tator.

You can find Obama's 2014 budget on line.

But it is up to Congress to pass a budget

Keep it shut down. Now is the time for the House to use its’ Constitutional Power of the Purse against this out-of-control socialist adminstration. Turn off their money spigot. Cloward Piven the left. No more borrowing money...no more leftist programs that turn Americans into slaves of the state.

Reid did say “What right do they have deciding which parts of government to fund.”

Read the Constitution Harry. It’s called the power of the purse.

I fear the GOP-e, (the leadership as they call it), will turncoat on the conservatives. They along with the Dems and media will blame all this on the few that are standing to save our country.

Obama couldn't even get his own party to vote for his budget.

So who is out of touch?

Senate rejects Obama budget in 99-0 vote

Obastard’s budget isn’t within a mile of being balanced. It’s worthless.

You can't cut your way out of it, you have to grow your way out.

Remember how Bill Clinton grew the economy out of it, then Bush ran the debt up by cutting taxes and having wars.

We are up to our eyeballs in the Bush/GOP debt.

YES!!!

For example:

The government now admits they collect information on every phone call you make. They have your tax records, and they use them for political ends. They’ve lied about this, admit they’ve lied, and the perpetrators get promotions. They refuse to even investigate.

Now, they want to upload your medical records. All of your medical records. They want your doctor to ask about your love life. Of course they will use this information for their own purposes - they’ve done it before and punished no one.

Not sure why you believe that. Obama could submit a budget that doubles entitlement spending and assumes taxes are increased three-fold. Just submitting a budget or even a balanced budget by itself means nothing.

Hmmmpff!

We could cut our way to a balanced budget in a couple of hours. All we need is small government people in control of the House, Senate and Presidency who are more concerned for the country than their reelection.

Your right, he could. He hasn’t, which is why we are at another “debt crisis”.

Actually pResident Obama has submitted a budget every year. So fact it has received zero (0) votes in the House and Senate.
The House did not pass a budget in 2009 or 2010.
The Republicans regained a majority in the House in the 2010 elections and SHAZAM;
The House has passed a budget in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

The Senate has NOT passed a budget since 2008. Not in 2009. Not in 2010, Not in 2011. Not in 2012. And not in 2013.

And we wonder why Washington lurches from crisis to crisis.

"All we need is small government people in control of the House, Senate, and Presidency....

What happened in the 2012 election?

Remember Bush in 2008 when he had the deer in the headlight s look trying to get Congress to appropriate the TARP money?

It would be easy to get budget balanced, raise taxes.
