I dunno. Any Senate that includes Harry Reid would find that kind of parasite difficult to top.

So the glassification of Mecca and Medina won’t have a significant environmental impact?

I find it hilarious that websites don’t continue to run during a government shutdown.

Dick Durbin is the ultimate zit.
Dick "appropriately named" Durbin is up there but I nominate Chucky Schumer first.

My take as well. Proof, as if any were needed, that the whole thing is a sham and a hoax.

The Saudis really don't care about the money. They just want to sit around (segregated from the opposite sex, of course), drink tea and talk about ... everything, all day and night long. I know ex-pats who can confirm that is exactly true, although they said the conversations were restricted solely to children and religion. On that basis, they didnt bother to learn any arabic.

How do they know what the Saudis were discussing if they didn't understand Arabic? Did they ask the Saudis? Maybe the Saudis were talking about things they didn't want the foreigners to understand. It's possible they were telling the WHOLE truth.
I had the same question for our Saudis. They kept talking about "sayyarits." I did ask. Sayyarits are cars. The men, all middle aged, were talking about their 18 year old sons. Their sons didn't want to work or go to school; they just wanted to drive around in the sayyarits. I laughed and told them that our 18 year old males were much the same.

Why are Democrats ‘feisty’ and Republicans ‘hardlined’?
To: Paladin2
The camel races are (or were) held once a year. They were held south, out in the deep desert and were, according to those few expats who actually went to them, a TOTAL disaster, disorganized, dusty, dirty and 100% Saudi. It was not a place for ex-pats.
Maybe things are more organized now.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
At the turn of the century (1900) only 1% of the Saudis could read. That has been DRASTICALLY changed. The Saudis made a concerted effort at getting the population literate. Now, all the young’uns can read, even the girls. The older generation still doesn’t read.
