Virginia Republicans Break Ranks, Call for End to Shutdown

Four House Republicans from Virginia have broken ranks to try to end the government shutdown and blunt its expected political fallout on Virginia's tight gubernatorial race, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

U.S. Reps. J. Randy Forbes, Scott Rigell, Frank Wolf and Rob Wittman have called for a government funding bill with no policy strings attached, which, if approved, would end the shutdown.

The Virginia governor's race pitting Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli against Democrat Terry McAuliffe may wind up focusing on which party will take the blame for the shutdown, strategists told The Times.

Swing-state Virginia is being closely watched for an indication of which way congressional midterms will go, too. It's one of only two states to hold statewide elections a year after a presidential vote.

I don’t think Forbes is caving. He just proposed a new strategy to defund the IRS to defund Obamacare. Unless something has changed I don’t believe it.

The caving of the Rep Congressional delegation will hurt Cuccinelli in the form of Rep turnout. Many will stay home, something I am now considering along with my family.

I don’t understand. Do you support Cuccinelli?

Wolf....what a JOKE he is.....I thought he was big into looking at what happened in BENGHAZI.....guess he dumped that like a hot potato!”

Yes indeed, dropped that investigation. Been a full year+ and still no answers.

I’ve read that top GOP and Dems in Congress knew fully well WAY before 9/11/12 that the CIA were running guns to Syria (?) or Egypt (?) or somewhere. My question all along is “WHAT WAS THE CIA doing in Benghazi in that Annex?” Very simple. The reason no answers is that the GOPe leaders, Bonehead and no chin Mitch knew this and they’ve told all the others down the line to shut the heck up. Hence NO Benghazi investigation.

Now isn’t this just sickening to the last degree? Obama is promoting Islam extremism in all areas, making deals with all these muzzie countries and the GOP like McJuan says and does nothing but help O.

And WE should bend over like these 4 Reps and kiss the backsides of the Dems? We are finally making waves. Why stop now?

The Virginia governor's race pitting Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli against Democrat Terry McAuliffe ...

... will hinge totally on how many people get duped by the pro-faggot libertarian candidate.

I understand there’s another candidate, a libertarian I think, that has 12% of the poll vote. Cuccinelli and this other candidate could defeat the democrat if one of them endorsed the other?

“what is their problem?”

The problem is they were bought. People with 400% of the salary structure for Obamacare can get a subsidy. So anyone making 120k a year is eligible.
