A woman with a one year old child unsuccessfully tried to ram her car through the security gates of the White House today. The police and Secret Service pursued the woman, and even though reports say she was not armed, she was eventually shot and killed outside the U.S. Capitol.
The driver has now been identified as 34 year old, Connecticut resident Miriam Carey, a dental hygienist working in Connecticut prisons. She reportedly has a history of mental health issues.

There was horror on the Hill when a crazed Connecticut woman who tried to ram her way into the White House was shot and killed Thursday after she led police on a high-speed chase through the heart of Washington.
Two police officers were injured trying to stop Miriam Carey, but the year-old baby girl she’d taken along on her death ride somehow survived, police said.
Now investigators are trying to determine why Carey, a 34-year-old dental hygienist from Stamford who once lived in Brooklyn, went on a tear.
New video has been released of the suspect being surrounded by police and then suddenly sped away. Shots can be heard as police take off after her.

I still don’t know how, when she was surrounded by officers in a sitting position, that they can justify killing an unarmed woman no matter how many barricades or police cars she hit. It’s not like she was wearing a suicide vest and about to blow herself up.
Maybe someone can photoshop Miley holding her breasts into that picture.
The idea that a pleasant and intelligent woman can endanger her baby and forfeit her own live in some idiocy is saddening.

Listen, I know that a few of my fellow FReepers truly despise police officers. I mean really hate them.
And they may have every reason to do so.
I’m also pretty sure that these same people will immediately brand me a boot-licking ***kisser if I don’t claim that all cops are jack-booted thugs who love killing dogs.
But - there is an eye witness that saw the car nearly run someone down - up on the hood and off the side.
And maybe they were trigger happy at the very end - I don’t know.
But you can’t say she was unarmed.
She was definitely armed.

If the driver had been a conservative, the narrative would be much, much different.
My understanding is they shot her after she got out of her car..
They will be shooting a lot more citizens. They are only starting, have billions of rounds. They will shoot the population into submission. Same as Lenin and Stalin. And Hitler.
