Another Hollywood star aligns with GOP (Rob Schneider)
WND ^ | 10/4/2013 | Gina Loudon

He credits Sandler for nudging him to the political right, and he is not shy about voicing his disdain for California’s current path.

Schneider told WND he is frustrated that red tape in the policies of Gov. Jerry Brown forced him to move his vitamin business out of California. It became too expensive and time consuming for him to comply with state regulations.

Although the best production staff, hair and makeup people are in California, he has not done a film in the Golden State in seven years.

Brown and the supermajority of Democrats in the legislature, Schneider said, have created a hostile work environment for its most prized industry – filmmaking.

Schneider said that no state has more to offer in terms of talent, climate and resources than California. He wants to do more work in the state but blames the Democrat supermajority and its hostility to business for the the industry’s struggles.

He asks others in the industry: “Do you really want to fly to Louisiana to do your next movie or would you love to do it here in California?”

Schneider isn’t alone among Hollywood stars who have leaned right politically.

These guys (and those like them) need to start producing movies that portray conservatives as the funny/clever characters, and liberals as the funny/stupid characters, avoiding degenerate themes (or showing degeneracy getting its comeuppance), and they will have a big audience.

Even if no one would hire them, they can make their own movies and TV shows.

Oh I don’t know about that. Demand is demand and if he’s in demand (which he doesn’t appear to be) he’ll work.

Nick Searcy is rabidly conservative and has a major role in a hit series (Justified)

I didn’t say it wasn’t.

I was talking about what the content of the movie was.

The entertainment delivered by TV is quickly moving to the internet.

Joan Rivers has moved her new show to the internet and it is building up steam pretty fast.

The new season of Canada's "Trailer Park Boys" has moved to the internet as well.

The broadcast networks and cable channels are in for a rough ride because most of the best talent is not in Hollywood...great talent is spread out all over the world and Hollywood no longer controls access to production.

Top quality video cameras are now extremely cheap, and all the skilled people needed to create quality entertainment are available and eager to work almost anywhere.

Which, by the way, is shot in California.

"While the pilot was shot in Pittsburgh and suburban Kittanning, Pennsylvania and Washington, Pennsylvania, the subsequent 38 episodes were shot in California. The small town of Green Valley, California often doubles for Harlan, Kentucky."--wikipedia

Yep. He’s the one who convinced Schneider to come over to the dark side. /s
