Firday
Firday is a term used for describing the hindmost weekday of every week, wherein interested parties pay their respect to pine trees - most notably the Balsam and Fraser Fir.
Me - “Man, so keen to get my Firday celebrations underway!”

Bekka - “L0L UR DUM ITZ ‘FRIDAY’.”

Me - “Have some respect for Balsam the Almighty, you heathen scum!”

This is a big place and it’s easy to miss stuff. The OFST has been around for a while and Lucky9teen has does a great job putting them together for over 6 years now.

Bad Translation (made up out of whole cloth)

“Shutdown Syndrome”

PLOT: Love triangle develops between a nuclear power plant engineer, a rock star and the son of a prominent ruling party officials.

The petulant son of the government official uses influence to try and get the nuclear engineer fired, going so far as to sabotage the power plant to set him up for prison. Meanwhile the resulting blackout shuts down the woman’s concert, causing a stampede that sends her to the hospital.

She loses her memory, of course, but physically she makes a miraculous recovery with no scars at all. The man she truly loves is in jail on trumped up charges and the bureaucrats son tells her she is his wife-to-be. Only regaining her memory can set things straight, or endanger her own life!

.......

OK, I got that out.... now what is this thread about anyways?

I may be going out on a limb in saying this, Borges, but you are going to get a lot of needling over this. I hope I am barking up the wrong tree, though.
