A man who was critically injured when he poured gasoline over his body and set himself on fire on the Mall on Friday has died of his injuries, according to D.C. police.
The man was airlifted to MedStar Washington Hospital Medical Center, where he died about 9 p.m. Friday, said Officer Araz Alali, a D.C. police spokesman.
The man could not immediately be identified because his burns were so severe. Medical personnel will try to determine who he was using DNA analysis, Alali said.

It was the other way around. Klinger was going to protest by pretending to pour gasoline on himself and somebody substituted gasoline for his water.
I hope he had fire insurance, or he may be an infinitely hotter fire.

Hell is a weird place. I think they are so wrapped up in their hatred of God down there that, in spite of plenteous punishing miseries, they would still bluntly rebuff any hypothetical offer from heaven to embrace them. It’s in keeping with God’s love to eternally condemn them because they’d now never repent. They received their ultimate wish: they’re rapt in Satan.

They probably should hire another 185,000 people to protect them, then build a moat and put in mine fields around all the buildings.

I don’t think he was a black person, if you look at the rest of him. It’s awful and very sad. I think he was probably another one of the many unstable people Obama’s hate and anxiety-filled environment has stirred up.
I hate Obama as much as anyone, yet the thought of burning myself to a crisp has never entered my mind.

Hope your recovery went well. I did some time after a coolant hose blew and scalded me. I cringe when I read stories like this.
I kind of had those same ideas, Even in Hell, they would not want to come out. I guess the mystery of sin, is something that we will never understand.
The legs look lighter than the head, but still a good deal darker than the two other guys. Probably he didn’t get any sun on his legs, as he did on his head. It would be easier to be sure if the photo was from the front, of course.
Yes, obviously a guy with problems. The Buddhists in South Vietnam set the model for this kind of protest, unfortunately, and it has been recurrent ever since. I suspect that even the craziest probably have second thoughts after feeling the incredible pain, but then it’s too late.
