Fort Hood trial cost government about $5 million

Records show the U.S. government spent nearly $5 million to court-martial and convict an Army psychiatrist in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage. …

Records also show that in the months before his trial, Army helicopters ferried Hasan from the Bell County Jail to Fort Hood so he could work on his defense in his private office at a cost of more than $194,000. …

I don’t see why a court martial was necessary. There was legal recourse for summary execution here, I think? since Hasan was acting as an enemy combatant, never mind a turncoat.

Well maybe a tad more, because I would have left every family member of the dead and all survivors have at least one to “give” to the piece of excrement, preferably dipped in pork fat first.

If there was a few dozen “Hasans” in the US military, they could effectively destroy the US by bankrupting us as we’ve chosen the most expensive way of dealing with them.
