Hillary Clinton this weekend cited the human cost of the ongoing government shutdown and the partisan nature of today’s political scene.
On Saturday, she received an award from Yale Law School, her alma mater, where she lamented the impacts of the shutdown on Americans, especially women and children.
“If you … want to understand the human costs of political brinksmanship and gridlock in Washington, look at the children,” she said. “Because of the government shutdown, nearly nine million women and children will soon be unable to buy healthy food and baby formula through a special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children.”
She also noted that because of the shutdown and sequestration, thousands of low-income children no longer have HeadStart as an option. Much of her Yale address focused on challenges facing kids, especially those from poor homes....

Another thought. The “democrats” must have evaluated the cost of their acceptance of any and all modifications requested by the House to the ACA (Obamacare) vs. the cost of forcing suffering on all the women and children. They have elected to punish the women and children by blocking the House’s requests on multiple occasions. That will show us...
They have gone on to selectively punish large quantities of people that deserved their respect (WWII veterans) by additional means costing additional tax dollars beyond the scope of any requested modifications to the CR (closure of National Parks and of all things... the OCEAN!) This is where the motivations of the Administration may becoming ‘transparent’.... finally. Their actions are louder than words. Their stated purpose is now to be as irritating as possible. Anyone who may disagree with them have been labeled “ENEMIES”.
Yes, Hillary. But you have to power to restore the government's funding, and return everyone to work by getting rid of an unworkable destructive policy that will only make things worse for children. Get rid of Obamacare!
