Obamacare: It only gets worse from here

Media coverage of last week’s opening of online exchanges where people can sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act was dominated by a focus on technical glitches and sign-up hassles. Since they were widely predicted, this led to a ho-hum quality in some reporting. Move along. There’s nothing to see here.

But those who looked a little deeper found vast sticker shock.

Locally, the San Diego Community College District quietly implemented a new rule this summer that puts a hard cap of 25 hours a week on adjunct faculty, short-term nonclassified employees and student workers. On Friday, the district said 809 employees were affected.

Nevertheless, the president continues to depict all criticism of his signature program as simply wrong, as he told Telemundo network last month. We hope Obama gets over his denial before long. If he doesn’t, the wreckage from Obamacare’s perverse incentives will be immense.

And this is why the conservative idea in the House of funding government one department at a time with the exception of ObamaCare is a winning one. Every continuing resolution for funding that the House passes keeps the spotlight on the gorilla in the room, keeps the liberal Senators reiterating their vocal support of ObamaCare, and allows the ObamaCare monstrosity a little more time as it marches towards self-implosion. Brilliant.

If we’re not in one now, Obamacare will put us in a Depression.

insurance is usually vastly more expensive for married couples where both spouses work than it would be if they got divorced, some will get divorced. The same cost factor will lead some couples to decide not to marry.

The more I learn about the affects of this law the worse it gets. This thing appears to be designed to destroy our entire culture.

I don’t know about you, but Ive been mentally depressed for the last five years and economically depressed for almost as long. And as I look around me it’s obvious that I am not alone.

McAffee’s comments about how vulnerable the entire system is to hacking are chilling - says anyone can set up a phony website claiming to sell insurance under Obamacare and collect all sorts of personal intimate information allowing later identity theft and potentially the theft of millions from bank and investment accounts - when that starts and gets traced back to the introduction of a shoddy and dangerous system to satisfy the ego of this putz in the White House, it should be the end......

Compliance with Obamacare violates Doctor Patient Confidentiality.

Obamacare is in violation of the Doctors Hippocratic Oath as follows:

” - - - All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal. - - - “

Another line of legal reasoning involves comparing Obamacare to all the do’s and don’ts the Federal Government has put into Law about our “privacy rights” such as HIPPA, questions that future employers can and cannot ask at one’s job interview, etc.

A criminal at arrest time has the “right to remain silent” which is not an option for any of us - - - , as our Doctors have been forced by the damn Federal Government to betray us over our very loud protests.

Class Action Law Suit anyone?

Might be something for Senators Cruz and Lee to file on our behalf ?!

You are not alone. Barely hanging on and worrying about even being able to afford meat among other things takes it’s toll.

I'm waiting to see how the Feds handle the cheapest policies with 30% to 40% deductibles.

What if someone can't afford the out-of-pocket expenses?

Will he be denied treatment?

I doubt it - which leads to the next question, who is going to pay for that guy's health care?

And what if some young healthy person decides to pay the yearly “tax” instead of buying insurance, but then gets injured or ill?

True, he cannot be “refused” insurance because of a pre-existing condition.

But, starting in 2015, he can only buy insurance during a roughly 10 week period at the end of year.

How can he get medical treatment if he has to wait months to purchase insurance?

The Senate Budget Committee has estimated the ten year cost of ObamaCare at $2.6 trillion.

If we had just allocated an extra $260 billion a year to Medicaid, we would have had a better and cheaper national health program than ObamaCare.

The really great thing about KommieKare is you don’t have to actually buy it until you’re really ill and really need health insurance! At that point, who cares what it costs! In the mean time, just use the ER for free like all the illegal aliens do.

Just accept that theoretically you’ll be fined. But who cares? The fines for not having insurance are peanuts and Congress forbids the IRS from collecting the fines other than subtracting them from any refund you might get. So just make sure you never get a refund. Besides, if you don’t file taxes you don’t have to pay the fines anyway, and several groups are exempted from buying KommieKare based on religious grounds too, plus there are at least two dozen hardship grounds for not paying the fines as well.

KommieKare is a socialist’s wet dream come true: everyone gets everything for free and no one ever has to work to get it!

Count me in with yuns too. Come to think of it, I've read that suicides have replaced auto accidents as the biggest cause of unnatural deaths in this country. I'm sure drug use and alcohol abuse has risen too. My gradeschool buddy just got a new job installing breathilizers in cars for the State of West Virginia and already he has over 100 court mandated installs to do already. I keep thinking about that woman who drove through the barricades in DC and that guy who set himself on fire.
