"disparate impact" always refers to favored minorities not being equal in numbers in jobs to their percentage of the population. According to libs, since blacks are about 12% of the population, they should have a 12% representation in all fields. And they're serious about that. Despite the fact that in many fields, especially medicine and the sciences, blacks are only about 2% of the qualified candidates.

Of course, athletics are to be ignored in the equation. Blacks make up an oversize percentage in most American major pro sports and college teams. None of the race hustlers suggest that whites should make up 75% of the nation's college and pro sports teams in sports like American football or basketball. For instance, blacks make up about 80% of the rosters in the NBA and 67% in the NFL. And there hasn't been a white American sprinter in major competition for the last 50 years or more. In the world of libs, fairness only goes in one direction.

Unfortunately blacks and hispanics being disadvantaged in America is perhaps their own doing. If immigrants from the erstwhile Soviet block or the Chinese immigrants or the Europeans and Indians could make it in the U.S. why not these people living in the U.S.? A similar problem exists in India. The answer lies in their undying faith in education. If that were so with the disadvantaged in any country then they would have extricated themselves out too. To quote a Chinese proverb "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life". Doles are the equivalent to a fish a day! Make your choice.
