The term libs use now is “disparate impact.” That means if you have a situation where various groups of people were competing and one of the groups does more poorly than the rest, that group was affected by “disparate impact.” Leftists believe when people/groups compete in the marketplace, they should all have equal outcomes. That’s sheer folly or lunacy, but leftists use it to gain advantages for favored groups. Because the outcome was not to their advantage, it was unfair. That’s their “logic.”

A good question needs to be asked, “Are African-Americans having a collective nervous breakdown?”
Compile the statistics for slave-descended, not African immigrant, blacks, and extrapolate them to a single individual, and that person would more than likely have severe psychological problems.
Currently, 72% of black Americans are illegitimate, and children raised by a single parent are 60% more likely to become criminal offenders.
So let’s assume that the “average individual” was illegitimate, and thus likely raised in poverty and with government assistance.
54% of black Americans graduate from high school, so odds are about even that the individual will have a high school education. However, statistically, a 12th grade education with an 8th grade reading level.
From there, underemployment and unemployment, and a high level of exposure to drugs and alcohol.
If you were a psychologist examining such an individual, there would be a strong likelihood of psychological problems.
How many people from first world countries emigrate to India? They might get a lot of people from countries worse off than India, but I doubt they get many educated people going there. The U.S. gets many well-educated Indians for immigrants. India gets little or no people from the U.S. or other first world countries. My point is the U.S. is still the magnet for people around the world to get to for a better life. Anybody who emigrates to India for a better life must be living in one of the worst places in the world.

It is not clear if the effort, foiled by passers-by, is related to the shutdown, but a visitor from more turbulent parts of the globe may well think the US is going the way of the Third World, given the kind of unrest that is roiling Washington DC. It is no coincidence that all three incidents, regardless of their connection to the shutdown, involve African-Americans.Catch that? Regardless of the connection the shutdown, all three incidents *must* be related to the shutdown, even though one took place before Zero and Reid shut everything down.

This was all about the Left trying to recruit black support for what’s happening in DC by claiming it’s a racial issue. This is what they do when things are going poorly for their side, they think they’re losing the argument, and they need to call out the cavalry. It’s the same stuff they pull at election time to get out the black vote ... the republicans are gonna get you! bugga bugga!
Hmm...not heard that one before. Presumably, they regard “disparate impact” as ALWAYS a bad thing? I mean if the one group of people suffering “disparate impact” were the lazy, as opposed to the diligent, that would still be regarded as wrong?

Probably, the death had not yet been announced. The story is dated 5:40 IST, which would have been 20:10 EDT. However, the guy was in all likelihood a goner, given his burns.
Sorry, I thought you were saying that the identification of him as black was wrong.
