For those unaware, the cache of the above site gives the following description of the AMBER Alert system:

The AMBER Alert™ Program is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the wireless industry, to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and the safe recovery of the child.

…unless, of course, there’s a government shutdown and the President doesn’t want to admit that the House of Representatives has control over the purse strings. Then I guess it’s hope that the kids come back on their own, like pets or something; either way, the Feds are just going to be over there, washing their hands of the whole situation.

PS: As noted here, via this program the Department of Justice is supposed to coordinate on a national level the various programs used in all of the states (and DC). This means that – thank God – states can still put the word out on abduction cases; unfortunately, this boneheaded decision is likely to degrade national coordination methods. Besides, I personally think that keeping that program operating at peak efficiency is just a little more important than soothing Barack Obama’s and Harry Reid’s wounded egos.

They do not care about kids with cancer on clinical trials. Reid’s words are evidence to that.

The WSJ is running an article today on page A11 that says the CBO has just radically altered its long range budget projections in September, and this is being totally ignored by the media. Get this...

Before the most current projection, the CBO was saying the debt in public hands was supposed to slide down to 0 by the year 2070 based on a number of “assumptions”.

The “adjustment” the CBO just made to this fiction was that by 2076 the debt would be over 200% of GDP. I sh*t you not. From “0” to over 200% of GDP.

The question is no longer if the US will default, but rather on which of its spiraling liabilities it will default on.

This is the real news Obama is trying to cover up with the help of a compliant media.

What about all that food rotting on commissary shelves? If the base commanders have any balls, they need to at least set the food out for families to take for free. Look at all that fresh produce and milk Moochelle is all about that's going to waste. Moo obviously doesn't care about military families' children.

That is not the government run website, that’s a private company selling Amber alert GPS. The Amber alert gov website is shut down while Michelles government run website is left up.

No, I've repeatedly checked "amberalert.gov," and it's been up.

However, it's up again, and there's a FR post that mentioned the cnn post that confirmed the site was taken down, but is back up again.

I'm waiting to see how Americans will react when the Democrats start denying treatment to children with preventable and treatable diseases. I'm sure that most will simply go along with the program, bury the child, and talk about how "God took my baby to heaven". Morons are the reason we got Obama in the first place.
