No. It was a simple case of very bad sentence structure on my part. I think my meaning would is better expressed by something like:

"The ‘biker thugs’ I support don't target civilians for purposes of initiating a dispute" -- or, "...don't target civilians in an attempt to initiate a dispute."

Something along those lines.

I apologize for the misunderstanding.

You forgot the pump action shot guns under the seats...

That’s at LEAST another 10 rounds - possibly of buckshot...

He did run over a couple of them as he fled the original scene of the attack.

But others of them had slashed his tires, and I think the final time he stopped, stopped traffic ahead of him, and the deteriorating mobility of his vehicle may have prevented him from driving any further.

I heard that they rode as members of a COP motorcyle group.

I suspect there may be more of them involved than we think. Someone posted the website where some of the vids were being uploaded to on a thread earlier. I think it was called "the front line" or "front line troops" or something similar. exactly the way many militarized cops think of themselves.

Where these cops weekend warrior bikers who were up front with the gang that they were cops or were they working undercover?

I interpreted it to mean that they were actually AFF duty, and were riding with the gang. But I suppose I could be wrong.

That might have been a problem; I would have kept driving until I was running on rims, though.
And once they started attacking, I would have AIMING at them.

I agree.

But apparently, it is illegal for New Yorkers to defend themselves.

That's news to me, although I believe NY is a duty to retreat state. Once you are attacked, then you can defend yourself because cops are not expected to protect individuals. If you kill or permanently disable your attacker, you might be sued in civil court.

The question is, were they under cover?

He came up behind some cars that he could not run over. The travons broke into his car, dragged him out, and beat him up.
