Personally, I think Treasury bond default can be avoided,one way or another. Pay the notes, come what may, even if only by way of short-time increase of debt limit. But at the same time, keep holding those who spend like there is no tomorrow by the short and curlies. Force some realistic spending cuts. Go over all spending with a fine toothed comb. A few tens or hundreds of thousands here & there multiplied by the hundreds, plus hundreds of millions elsewhere (no more Solyndra's PERIOD) and pretty soon you are talking [ahem] real money.

Also, remember that the exits from the interstates will likely be blocked, not by the Feds, but by locals who don't want you coming off and buying up the available supplies of gas and food. Be sure to get a couple of jerry cans and keep them filled with gas. Rotate your gas supply. Every few times you need gas, use what's in your jerry cans, then refill them at the gas station. That way you'll always have fresh gas on hand.

That book plus A Failure of Civility. Take that one out of its glued paper binding, three-ring punch it and make it your SOP for neighborhood defense.
The two books together are invaluable advice from folks who have been there, done that.

I ain’t got no bejeebers left dang it. I used to wake up in a cold sweat, now I sleep like a baby, I have some strange dreams but not nightmares. I have already accepted the fact that the USA is gone and the part I hate the worst is that at my age, going on seventy, I feel great physically, I almost wish I had a terminal illness with half an hour left. I’m probably going to have to witness this disaster for a long time yet unless I am one of the first to be shot.
Your story fits in with what Hussein is doing right now. He is suppressing our freedom by closing memorials on ground where people normally walk (WWII memorial), preventing people from stopping to see Mt. Rushmore from a distance, closing parks that don’t require taking money to be let in. He is showing us he “owns” us and can make us do whatever he wants.
To me, his name is Hussein Hitler. It took a major war to stop Hitler. What will it take to stop Hussein Hitler?

I would give my life for my freedom...will they want to give their lives up for a new Nation of global Obamahate? And they will lose their lives, big time. Americans are conniving and nasty. Ouchey. I do believe the Americans will make the Jihadists look like pussies in a civil war. What a blood bath it would be.
I would love the opportunity to be inside the demon force to do all I could to up-end them. The French and English regulars would love the opportunity to take out this corrupt and evil globalistmachine, too.
