Perhaps, but not enough that she would sit down at a table with any and discuss the issues.

"I’m worried…We have another deadline looming: the October 17 deadline for needing to lift the debt ceiling…I fear that some of the Tea Party-inspired members of the House want to wait until that deadline comes to exact greater leverage for their political agenda."

Let us recast this:

"I’m worried… We have another deadline looming: My paycheck can't cover the bills.I fear that the Bank may not again accept my 19% Credit Card this time and I will actually have to make my mortgage payment. I wish I could regret my vacations to Paris and Rio but they were damn fun so I don't know why the bank is foreclosing!"

Maybe she should be more worried about the people of this country turning on said government.

They shall rue the day.

I think when we see the President willing to close, to shutter the government, and Democrat Senators who have articulated that they would allow the government to default on its debts, that you have a level of extremism that is unparalleled by any other faction in either house.

Fixed it

Me thinks the liberals know they’re in trouble on this issue. Why else have they resorted to calling our side anarchists and extremists of the worst kind. The Democrats are a one trick pony and they have nothing of substance to stand on so expect the hate and venom to only increase.

Considering the fact that a good many democrats literally want us exterminated in a physical sense, shutting down the government seems pretty minor in comparison even though its the democrats fault.

The article says she is the first LGBT senator.

Lesbian, gay, bi-sexual AND transgender.

Gosh, she has been a busy little thing.

Tea Party “extremism”...LOL...Yes being against communism is now considered “extreme”. Not wanting to live under a totalitarian government is “extreme”. This is where we are at now ladies and gentlemen, surrounded by absolute brain dead ass clowns who feel those who do not bow and serve the government instead of the other way around LIKE IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE are “extremists”.

It’s about time congress did it’s job. The problem is ..they waited way too long. Extremism is definitely an issue as in Multi trillion dollar debt without end amen.

Waiting for zero to destroy the economy and government in general to impose unworkable restrictions to starting new businesses, and killing jobs so that you can’t work for a living was extremism at it’s finest! Who exactly IS at fault for that? Does fault even matter anymore?

The fact remains that our national budget does need an overhaul but it isn’t necessarily supporting government empowerment that needs to be kept.

They must think ‘we the people’ are extremely stupid

The representatives in the House were ELECTED to be there. They are, for once, doing what the people that elected them WANT. The liberals simply cannot grasp that. There is a separation of powers for a REASON.

“....I think when we see Tea Party members of the House willing to close, to shutter the government, and Tea Party members of the House who have articulated that they would allow the government to default on its debts, that you have a level of extremism that is unparalleled by any other faction in either house.”

The speaker of those words is telling lies.

With no budget resolution in place and no raise in the national debt limit there will still be no reason or cause fot the President to default on any federal debt obligations that come due, on or after October 17.

There will be a deficit increase (revenue below expenses) if the federal government keeps spending every minute as much as it is spending and its possible for that deficit increase to bring a possible new borrowing demand that would seek to obtain a higher total borrowing than presently allowed by law and the Constitution (which says only Congress can change the debt limit).

However, a remedy for that increase in the deficit does not REQUIRE either a raise in the federal debt limit or a default on federal debt obligations coming due.

Obama’s treasury is REQUIRED by the Constitution to PAY THE DEBT obligations, no matter what other expenses doing so might mean will not get paid. All’s that need really happen is for sequester to get a little tighter, that’s all. That initial increased sequester will also help reduce the deficit in the months to come, continuing to stem the need to raise the debt ceiling.

Obama MUST by the Constitution and by law pay the debt and not default; it is the rest of his extravagant spending programs that will have to be cut further. Obama also cannot avoid those cuts by telling treasury to borrow more money without Congressional approval - the Constitution does not allow Presidents to increase the total U.S. debt allowe - only Congress can.

My girl ain' t got no hands

[There are] Tea Party members of the House willing to close, to shutter the government, and Tea Party members of the House who have articulated that they would allow the government to default on its debts, that you have a level of extremism that is unparalleled by any other faction in either house.

The Great Sedition Trial of 1944 2014 is building support. FDR's plan to destroy his critics of minor importance before tackling the big guys like Senator Taft failed when the courts finally threw the case out.

The Tea Party members are the little guys and gals. As long as we have an alternate media I don't think it could happen and we can avoid the repeat of

". . . one of the blackest marks on the record of American jurisprudence. In the legal world, none can recall a case where so many Americans were brought to trial for political persecution and were so arrogantly denied the rights [guaranteed] an American citizen under the Constitution.”

Another dumbassed marxist heard from.

She is like a mosquito. A real pest until squashed.

Will a real person run against her in the next election? Run on the “I’m sane” theme.
