I was just pointing out the fallacy in their plan

If they don’t want guns, and they ban police officers from bringing guns, then they also should ban criminals from bringing guns

They need to ban criminals too

We need to confront liberals with this so-called ‘logic’ over and over and over until you get them to say it out loud: “but the criminals wont obey the law...”

Then we shout BINGO! and do the victory dance in their face (complete with turbo-mooning)

Well this is fully understandable as the National Felon League would not want fans more heavily armed that the players.

When they are off duty, they are regular people, N'est Pas?

Police is one of those professions where they're never completely "off", they're always on standby to some degree or another.
Look, the left is trying to take away our guns little by little, and places we can carry one by one.
If they can take away the right to carry from off-duty cops, that's a huge victory for the anti-gun crowd and does absolutely nothing to make people safer.
I'm not willing to give them that.

Nevertheless it’d be the lesser of two evils to be in a stadium where at least cops are armed vs. no one but the criminals being armed.

I can’t imagine if they took a poll that most of their attendees would want the cops to be disarmed. Of course if they asked if they wanted a “gun-free zone,” a lot of fools would probably answer yes to that.

Sounds good to me. Until the laws that affect the rest of us affect the police as well, nothing will change.

Who is the NFL? It’s the team owners and their hired doofusses like Roger Goodell.
And was there not an owners meeting within the last week? This sounds like it came from somebody like Kraft or Schneider or maybe Sultan Hussein’s Ambassador to Ireland.

With cops these days like the ones involved in attacking Alex Lien in Manhattan, it’s hard to blame them. Clean up your own yard, cops. And I know there’s more to this than that, but it bears stating.

I agree with you for the most part. I am not troubled with off duty LEO carrying. I have no problem with anyone properly licensed carrying. In fact, I think it is a good idea in a public setting. When going to a game, the place is crawling with LEO and other armed personnel. All there to protect.

IMO, there is no need for other, non-uniformed and not actively engaged personnel running around when those charged with security are already in place. It makes sense to restrict weapons to those that are there to man them. This would include off duty LEO. I would have little problem with anyone properly licensed to carry at games, but I don't make the rules.

Going to a Professional Football game is not something that I put myself through, as the restrictions and personal space infringements are that I want to endure. Not wanting to break rules and endure that mess, I steer clear.

We're not talking about NEED, we're talking about preserving our RIGHTS.
That's the real issue here.

I hear you. I am with you. I am just commenting on the fact that if an organization is going to ban firearms in a venue where Security is engaged, then it should apply to ALL, even off duty LEO. They are NOT special. They take off the uniform, they are subject to the rules, just like the rest of us.

The only way people "Get It" is when they have to "Live It".

I never patronize a business or organization that wants to take away my rights.
