Armed Guards Kick Senior Citizens Out of Yellowstone Park
Breitbart ^ | 10-8-13 | Elizabeth Shields

Thousands of people found themselves inside a national park when the government shutdown went into effect. Pat Vaillancourt and her tour group "which included senior citizen visitors from Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States, were locked in Yellowstone National Park hotel under armed guard."

The seniors were treated harshly by armed park employees until they were able to leave according to Vaillancourt. Once they began the journey out of the park, "the bus was not allowed to halt at all along the 2.5-hour trip out of the park, not even to stop at private bathrooms that were open along the route."

“We’ve become a country of fear, guns and control,” said Vaillancourt, who grew up in Lawrence. “It was like they brought out the armed forces. Nobody was saying, ‘we’re sorry,’ it was all like — ” as she clenched her fist and banged it against her forearm.

Vaillancourt was on a nine day tour of western parks "with about four dozen senior citizen tourists." As her bus stopped to take a picture of some bison, "an armed ranger came by and ordered them to get back in, saying they couldn’t 'recreate.' The tour guide, who had paid a $300 fee the day before to bring the group into the park, argued that the seniors weren’t 'recreating,' just taking photos."

As they approached the Old Faithful Inn located next to the famous Old Faithful geyser, she could see barricades around the geyser and the seniors were locked inside the Inn with armed guards.

Obama is pure evil and a communist.

Maybe now Americans will see what Obama is and that the government is not needed as gov shut down and nothing has happened.

I’m glad Republicans shut down government. government is useless and only oppresses as in the IRS

call them and tell Republicans to hold the line and not cave in to media pressure.

I have been to Yellowstone National Park 13 times. I love visiting that park, but I may have trouble being civil with the rangers after this nonsense.

As for Obama.... Impeaching that bastard will NEVER be enough.

How much longer before the jackboots get their orders to start gunning people down?

How could you argue that does not constitute and arrest?

I think it clearly would count as an arrest, which cannot take place without probable cause, a warrants, Miranda rights. At the least it violates Habeas Corpus, there were not held on a charge. Congress passed no law against recreating. The gendarmes couldn't do this to a suspect; the national park federales shouldn't be able to do it a group of innocent citizens.

Forget civil. It’s time to start spitting on them.

The GOP needs to get all of these incidents recorded and filed away. Video of outraged citizens’ first hand account of how the jack booted thugs behaved during the shutdown will make great campaign fodder in 2014 and 2016.

Some teary stories about vacations ruined and private businesses harmed. How extra money was paid just to hurt people during the shut down.

I was thinking the same thing. If, say, Richard Nixon had done something similar, you would have heard the lib yowling on Mars.

The first time I read this account, I didn’t understand the admonition from the ranger that they couldn’t “recreate”. I thought they were being accused of positioning the bison in some way to recreate an event. I mean who uses the word recreate to mean to enjoy oneself, and furthermore why the hell are they allowed to harass free American citizens so obtrusively?

Nothing will be done about it. Can’t even hold hearings. If hearings then it will take 20 years to get to the bottom if ever.

Elections have consequences! Omao was elected on the emotions of the people who heard free stuff and lost their collective mind.

Jarret and co had a plan of destruction and was clearly visible before the coronation. Free stuff was all that could be heard in the land.

Well the bankers got free stuff, billionaires got free stuff, the wookie got free stuff. What did you get?

Where is the politician on any side of the aisle who is willing to de-fund these agencies?

There is only one thing that will get their attention, and that is shutting them down. Hand the lands over to the states. Eliminate the agencies, unless the individual states are willing to put them on the payroll.

Really, I’d rather see the land sold off to private people, US citizens only of course. But handing it over to the states is a good first step.

Not just arrest, I would charge them individually with false imprisonment and kidnapping.

Your are 1000% right. Impeachment is an article of the very law of the land he is crapping on. He would not obey it. HE IS IN FOR GOOD-unless this country rises up.
REBELLION-NOW!
