According to Henri De Lubac, secret knowledge was revealed to Nietzsche that he was "....the first of men to know.' The shock of it was sudden and profound. Though no direct document relates his experience sure evidence is found in an agitated page of Ecce Homo where Nietzsche wrote:

"Suddenly, with sureness, with indescribable delicacy, a thing makes itself seen, makes itself heard. It shakes you, it overwhelms you right to your innermost depths. You hear it...You let it fill you....A thought blazes forth like a flash of lightening...It imposes itself as a necessity...I never had to choose it. It is an ecstasy....You are enraptured, taken outside of yourself...All of this...is accompanied by a tumultuous feeling of liberty, of independence, of divinity...There you have my experience of the inspiration."
(Lubac, p. 472)

Sounds like Mohammed's experience, while stuffed up in his cave....

Or the ravings of a psychotic???

I have such mixed feelings about Nietzsche.... I can't not pity him.

Great stuff, dear sister in Christ! Thank you ever so much for the ping!

Indeed, I have found nothing useful in Nietzsche’s or Mohammed’s writings.

betty: I have such mixed feelings about Nietzsche.... I can’t not pity him.

Spirited: There are those who pour hatred out upon other people and those who instead hate lies, deceptions, psychological bullying with the goal of domination and manipulation, and so on. Like Cain, the first group consists of self-centered, covetous individuals ungrateful for what they have, so again like Cain, they naturally perceive themselves to be innocent (sinless) victims thus take pleasure in hating and persecuting their ‘victimizers.’

Our once great nation is being overwhelmed and rotted from within by self-centered, ungrateful, covetous Cains at every level of society, but their numbers are greatest and most evident within academia, Hollywood, the White House, and mainstream media.

With her declaration of pity rather than hate for a man of great influence whose rebellion against God and abuse of gifts bestowed on him by God to lead men astray and unleash much evil, is demonstrative of betty’s inner goodness.

When the evil spirit held out the temptation to hate betty said no. In essence she has said, Nietzsche was brimful of self-destructive hate and I will not add more to his burden nor will I become like him by giving into the temptation to hate.

These are the days that try men’s souls, and will no doubt become much worse before all is said and done. It’s my fervent hope that all Abels will resist the temptation to hate, for as St. Augustine observed, hatred will finally burn out the seeds of goodness and love which our Holy God planted within each man and woman. Then we will join the burgeoning ranks of Cains.
