I'm not sure that the American people are powerless, as you claim. The Egyptians are far more powerless than we are and they have managed to overthrow 2 rulers in 2 years.

We have guns and that was the intent behind the 2ndAmendment - it's a way to maintain the balance of power between us and the out-of-control federal government and the people. If unarmed Egyptians can overthrow 2 rulers, why would armed Americans do less?
