John McCain: Obamacare fight ‘a fool’s errand’
Politico ^ | October 10, 2013 | JOSE DELREAL

Posted on 10/11/2013 1:50:47 AM PDT by yoe

Sen. John McCain said Wednesday that there was never a chance of defunding Obamacare, blaming politicians who said it was possible for the current government shutdown. “We started this on a fool’s errand, convincing so many millions of Americans and our supporters that we could defund Obamacare,” McCain (R-Ariz.) told Wolf Blitzer on CNN. “[That] obviously wouldn’t happen until we had 67 Republican senators to override a presidential veto.”

[snip] “[It was] the people that convinced so many millions of Americans, tea partiers specifically we’re talking about, that there was some way to defund Obamacare. We can’t,” McCain said.

John's got his shorts in a twitch because another Senator, Ted Cruz has the backing of Americans who love their constitution and think its laws should be followed closely. A lot of those Americans are Tea Party supporters who have truly had enough of RINOS & DINOS trashing their United States Constitution AND they can see that Obamacare is one huge load of toxic Bureaucratic BS...Obamacare is SOCIALIZED MEDICINE; John McCain doesn't give a damn that this is a Republic...he would rather side with the Community Organizer than fight with Liberty Loving Americans. Obama is going to veto anything sent to his desk if Congress doesn't fund his SOCIALIZED MEDICINE BILL. The Republicans have given just about all the left had asked for....but Reid & Obama, won't sign unless Congress funds Obamacare. That is Blackmail Senator McCain....the people do not want Obamacare so the people do not want Congress to fund Obamacare....the people don't think this President should ram this TAX down their throats.....get with the United States Constitution program Senator McCain. THIS IS ABOUT THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. Senator Cruz understands that.

Perfectly stated, dearest yoe.

The only fool on a errand is Senator McCain, and he's on the Devil's errand: Obama's.

It's way past the time for that old soldier to go home.

My question for John Mccain: Well, John, is Obamacare funded now?

I didn’t think so. Isn’t that the very reason the President is throwing a hissy fit?

Piss on you, McCain. If we the people refuse to allow our elected reps in the House to fund the unwanted, unneeded, unnecessary, unworkable, unconstitutional, jobs-killing, economy-killing, liberty-killing, nation-wrecking, tyrannical, corrupt Marxist boondoggle aka ObamaCare, then it doesn't get funded. Obama, Reid, the U.S. Senate, you and your treasonous unindicted co-conspirators in this high crimes and treasonous criminal conspiracy to defraud and rob the entire U.S. citizenry can pound sand. Refer to James Madison, Federalist 58 ‘power of the purse’ to rein in an out of control, runaway chief executive and senate. This is the sound of we the people exercising OUR constitutional powers!

Stay strong House reps! We the people have your backs. Kill this monstrosity of a bill before it kills us!

You cannot overide a VETO.... BUT you can defund it..
It can be done... defund anything possible with the federal givernment..

Republicans should get the rep. of THE PARTY OF NO BUCKS..
WHATEVER it is.... Reduce it, defund it, eliminate the people running it, if possible eliminate the whole agency..

No matter if it’s good or bad.. if the feds run it.. it gets CHOPPED..
move all or most all functions to the states.. if it is even needed..

Republican party should be the party of STATE RIGHTS..
Highly suspicious of ANY move of power to the federal gov’t..

Yeah he’s twisting words and logic for the cameras and planting his face firmly in the RINO sphere.

What he is going on about is that any CR funding bill that leaves out funding for socialism care is going to die in the Senate and if somehow it manages to get past the Senate, then Obamanoid will veto it.

Of course Cruz’ strategy was that if Obama vetos it or the democrats kill it in the Senate then they are responsible for the shutdown as all funding was authorized by the House save Obama’s socialism care.

And it’s working as the polls show Obama falling to 37% in approval from 52% post-election, and continuing to fall.

As long as the republicans hold the line and follow Cruz’ strategy they will take the Senate in 2014 and add more Tea Party conservatives in the House. This will also have huge influence on the presidential election in 2016.

All the republicans needed was a leader to show them how to fight and they got it in spades with this Canadian anarchist Cuban extremist named Cruz.

I agree wholeheartedly with your points. McCain is a screaming cowardly deserter, a fowl traitor to this nation, fleeing the battle that the Tea Parties are waging in an attempt to save the dregs of this republic from the fascist democRats and RINO quislings. The disgusting fools and criminals who are destroying what remains, and condemning our children for generations to come from tyrannical misery, and/or eventual bloody CWIII.

The best thing to remember as one reads this is that John McCain will soon be gone. Younger, brighter men with less baggage than this publicity hound will take his place, and the nation will be better for it. It is hard to forgive voters in AZ for allowing this lousy character to soil our government for so many years, however.

Even if defunding fails, the GOP has clearly positioned itself as the anti-Obamacare party.

As more and more people are pushed, pulled and forced into this nightmare, it will be the GOP that they will turn toward.

You can thank Ted Cruz and the Tea Party for this.

McCain makes people think there is no difference between the parties.
