Labrador on ABC's This Week: 'Very Difficult to Work With Obama'

Idaho GOP Rep. Raul Labrador was back in front of the TV cameras this morning, this time appearing on ABC's This Week With George Stephanopoulos.

"We're four days away from reaching the debt ceiling. We gave the president an offer where we would extend the debt ceiling without any requirements ... and I don't see why the president is not accepting that or working with us," said Labrador. "I think it's been very difficult to work with [Obama]. He wouldn't even come to the table to negotiate."

And Labrador wasted no time to bring the debate surrounding the federal government shutdown and the deadline for hitting the nation's debt ceiling back to the Affordable Care Act.

"If you look at Obamacare, the president has given exemptions to friends and businesses," he said. "All we're asking is to give the same exception to the American people. I don't think that's too much to ask."

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison, sitting alongside Labrador, was having none of it.

"We can talk about all these things after we reopen the government and pay America's debts," said Ellison. "There are a number of things we could do, but we can't do them under the gun we're under right now."

"We just offered you a six-week extension," countered Labrador.

"Six weeks is no good," responded Ellison. "Do you want to do this again in six weeks? That's crazy."

The Community Organizer in Chief has staged a strike along with Harry Reid. Get back to work slackers!

Democrats want nothing between them and total power. With Obamacare, they will have a Trojan horse with which they can invade every home and control the actions of every person. They can also charge whatever they want. The Nazis had similar power in Germany.

'Very Difficult to Work With Obama'

Could be because when it comes to work, Obama is like Maynard G. Krebs:

"WORK??!!??"

I hope the Republicans in the House understand what is going on here. Obama is determined to use the shutdown to break the GOP. The only way that doesn’t happen is if the Republicans in the House are able to hold their breath longer than Obama is.

If this group of Liberal Republicans (RINO’s) can NOT convince these idiot Democrats of the fallacy of their ways on Obamacare then why should they care about the shutdown! These idiots actually think this is a good law! For goodness sakes, can they not look at the poles for this without blinking.

Actually, I have little hope for the Republicans - way too many folks like McCain and crowd still wanting to compromise, not really sure what that means except give in but such is the life of a Conservative. Won’t see Master Reid giving in to anything! The real problem is the intransigence of the Democrats! I say, let things go to hell, it will probably be in the best interest of the country anyway.

I’m sure by now most liberals are finding out that Obama’s not a very smart man. Obama is portrayed by the media as having the appearance and presentation of an academic or intellectual while being strangely clueless in his reading of political situations and dynamics. He’s extremely partisan and shuts out anyone who disagrees with him. You begin to think he doesn’t really listen or he doesn’t really care. He has one solution for every problem...More Government. He is bad at negotiating....in fact he doesn’t know how. His confidence is consistently greater than his acumen, his arrogance greater than his grasp. Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. The pigeon knocks over all the pieces, craps on the board and then struts around like it won the game.

GOP needs to stop negotiating and stage a lock in of the White House, allow no business in or out, halt executive office due to lack of funding. Appoint Congressional budget office to pay troops and debt service, all other funding payments suspended until further notice. Cut off the money. Defund the White House, Obamacare, amnesty, all of it. We need a real shut down. No food stamps etc.

If Obama doesn’t want to talk, it may be time to take this to the streets, so to speak.

I don’t know if I like that idea, but I fully expect the GOP to cave and I won’t vote for my congressman ever again and he portrays himself as conservative.

I will vote for conservatives in primaries and third party conservatives in general elections over business as usual Republican politicians who make emotional speeches that sound conservative by attacking Obama or Obamacare, then they go to Washington and cave into him.

Over 90 percent of current elected Republican officials need to be cleaned out at all levels.

Glenn Beck made a speech the other day saying the two parties are one. That is surely the truth.

I don’t know everything that needs to be done about that, but I know that its an unacceptable situation.

It matters not what offers, King Obama is testing his power over the people. He knows he has no challenge from the Republicans.

Idaho GOP Rep. Raul Labrador, a former Immigration Attorney, and a big supporter of Amnesty, is another GOP Collaborator pretending to be a conservative.

Take what he says with a grain of salt.

In the 1930s, the world got to learn the lessons of working with Adolf.

It’s now learning the same lessons about working with Barack.

Too bad the retards running the world are incapable of learning anything, pious bleating of “never again” notwithstanding. This time, we should just kill them all.

Not negotiating is working rather well for Obama - every day he stays away the idiot Republicans sweeten the offer.

It is the truth so why vote for either one? Really significant question I’d think.
