Shelves in Walmart stores in Springhill and Mansfield, LA were reportedly cleared Saturday night, when the stores allowed purchases on EBT cards even though they were not showing limits. Additional Links Computer issue, not government shutdown, likely cause of EBT card failures
The chaos that followed ultimately required intervention from local police, and left behind numerous carts filled to overflowing, apparently abandoned when the glitch-spurred shopping frenzy ended.
Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd confirms they were called in to help the employees at Walmart because there were so many people clearing off the shelves. He says Walmart was so packed, "It was worse than any black Friday" that he's ever seen.
Lynd explained the cards weren't showing limits and they called corporate Walmart, whose spokesman said to let the people use the cards anyway. From 7 to 9 p.m., people were loading up their carts, but when the cards began showing limits again around 9, one woman was detained because she rang up a bill of $700.00 and only had .49 on her card. She was held by police until corporate Walmart said they wouldn't press charges if she left the food.

By "working," it means the cards were showing the actual credit remaining, and if the perps knew that the balance on their card was $2.95, and they were pushing $700 worth of stuff...
In other words, most of the people who were there were criminals, hoping to get away with their loot before the computers started working again.

I was in a Walmart in Indiana, can’t remember the town, the bathrooms were very clean and there was even flowers in a vase sitting on the lavatory. I also saw only white people.
Walmart is outlawed in many major cities, at least the Walmarts that sell groceries.
Many millions of Americans cannot shop at Walmart in their cities.
Walmart sells guns and ammo also. The left hates them.

My Walmart is a true international village. We have no one ethnic group that is predominant. Instead it is like a Tower of Babel. You can hear every language and/or accent known to man in there. A whole lot of them are of Middle European heritage. Lithuanians, Russians, Ukrainians, Polish, Serbian, Albanian, Czech, etc. etc. etc. There are a smattering of Blacks, Hispanics, Indians (from India), and Chinese. And this is only a partial list. Then mix in a lot of ordinary Whities of various extractions, and you’ve got my Walmart. It is clean though, and is right this moment being turned into a super Walmart, with full grocery service, to be completed in the Spring.
It’s location is great, in a fairly wealthy suburb west of Chicago, and is a gold mine to boot. There is no time of day or night that I go in there that it isn’t chock full of customers. I think Walmart is a great example of the capitalistic endeavor, for just as long as they can ward off the Unions from getting their nose under the tent. Walmart drives the Unions nuts as they just can’t make any inroads. Hah.
