At a tea party rally in Washington Sunday billed as the “Million Vet March,” one idiot decided to bring Confederate flag, which was enough for liberals to paint the entire Republican Party as racist.

Exactly! Do they ever, with the might of all the MSM behind them, ever allow us to shame them or wrest their symbols away or define them? Even when they prance naked and shameless in front of children, in bondage gear? Even when it's they who are changing the defintions? How much more do we surrender-the words "gay" and "queer", the rainbow, what else? The Cross, the mightiest symbol in history, in my opinion? Yet we always have those who are ready at the drop of a flagpole to surrender our symbols to them.

This thread reminds me of something I wrote recently in one the DUmmies postings. That politically-correct amalgamation of anti-American, diversity-embracing leftists had a front page article with this headline, quoted verbatim:

The oh-so-ultra-seeeensitive, multicultural crowd over there found the word "Redskins" so offensive that they opted to mask it out with asterisks. Yet that same site routinely uses the unexpurgated f-word on its main page. Likewise the Lord's name is regularly taken in vain by those vile cretins.

I think it's a situation similar regarding the Confederate flag. Liberals hate it so much that Conservatives ought to unapologetically embrace it as a symbol -- much like there should be no caving in to the PC crowd for team names and mascots. And by the way, I'd like to see "Hail to Redskins" restore the lyrics used in the 1960s: "Fight for Old Dixie!"

Maybe so but notably absent in Bob Costas' unhinged rant last night during SNF was a mention of whites in regard to the "-skin" suffix.

Think for a moment about the term 'Redskins' and how it truly differs from [other team nicknames based on Native American images]. Ask yourself what the equivalent would be, if directed [at] African-Americans. Hispanics. Asians. Or members of any other ethnic group. When considered that way, 'Redskins' can’t possibly honor a heritage, or a noble character trait, nor can it possibly be considered a neutral term.

I have NO problem with the Confederate flag. To me, it’s a part of American history. Like the Gadsden flag.

I’m only saying that the other side sees it as THE racist flag... because that’s what the revisionist indoctrination has been teaching for decades. So when somebody carries a St. Andrew’s Cross, the libs lose what little minds they have left and point to it yelling “SEE!!! SEE!!! They want to make all you black folks SLAVES again!”
