To: Nervous Tick

Has nothing to do with halos or being perfect. But it’s people like you, who imply that a staple of everyone’s “teen years” is illegal alcohol use, who are part of the problem. We need more people serving as examples of good behavior, not making excuses for bad behavior or suggesting that it’s normal and everyone does it, which isn’t true. Many human tragedies would be prevented if kids and adults for that matter did not use illegal substances of any kind.

I see your point. The young sober HARD WORKING girl who took pity on a classmate (and society) and gave the classmate a ride to prevent a horrible accident was guilty of bad behavior.

She should be punished so damn hard that she’ll never even *dream* of doing something stupid like *that* again.

LORD have mercy! In our self-righteous zeal we have lost the ability to find goodness in the midst of evil.

In our zeal to Set The All Important Good Example, we trample the very one who did.

(well, if not we, at least one of us...)
