This guy is a useful idiot.

If they made arrests, the govenrment can be directly sued for it under US Code, Title 18, Section 242.
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.......

- See more at: http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/uscode/18/I/13/242#sthash.jng90qRQ.dpuf

----

Any member of the public has a Right to travel in public areas, an arrest would prove an infringement of the Right.

As long as they're told to leave and they DO, there is no proof of infringement, because the action of leaving is voluntary.

“Perhaps if they arrested someone they would need to justify their own closure of the memorials.”

This, I hope. We must be vigilant of delayed retribution on participants. Fortunately, arrest would mean standing to demand chain of authority, which would prove embarrassing.

Now, let’s see if I have this straight: If a group of people decide they don’t like the closing of facilities under the federal government shutdown, they are now empowered to take wire cutters to the locks, push aside barriers and go in and about on their merry way without fear of arrest?

No, Now, let’s see if I have this straight: if a group of people decide they don't like the King's taxes, they are now empowered to dress up as Indians, board His Majesty's ships, and throw tea over the side without fear of arrest?

Yep, it was quite a little happening, unique, a chance to see government operations that people don’t see, if they have ever seen it in America, I don’t recall anything like it since the Indian days. I’m surprised to see how often I am reminded of that period, in the discussions of the last couple of years.

They didn’t arrest anyone because officially there was no protest at the WWII Memorial.

Nothing happened.

Nobody was there.

What you saw on You Tube is just computer generated cartoons created by Tea Party propagandists.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

“A crowd of demonstrators converge upon U.S. government property closed to the public.”

Hey ASSHOLE, We are the US Government! What makes this Toilet paper think the government owns the property, and can close it to it’s rightful owners?

11 Million entered without so much as a slap on the wrist. They walk around and use our schools, hospitals and earn livings. No arrests. This jackass wants to hound vets. Sick.

Oh, PLEASE arrest some veterans for violating this heartless, petty buffoonery.

Why doesn’t Colbert I. King come out and stop the veterans himself?

How come they aren’t raising hell about Nancy Pelosi and her Illegals that were on the Mall the day before.??

These were Americans. The illegals were not and they weren’t arrested.

The Washington Post: Hopefully one night lightning strikes the place.
